Subject: Hello Judy!! (English Bulldog)
Hi Judy!! My name is Rebecca and I am from Monterey, California. I found your website
early this A.M. and I must say WOW!! I bet I have been sitting here reading, laughing,
crying for about 2 hours now! You are SUCH an inspiring person and I admire you VERY much!
My husband and I bought a "sour mug" back in October of 2003. My husband is in the Marine
Corps, and with it being the USMC mascot not to mention his love and admiration for them,
he "HAD" to have one! I have ALWAYS been in love with them, but had never really been
around them!
In August of last year we made an emergency trip to Panama City, Florida to
be with my husband (Jared's) Mom. They found out she had terminal cancer and we loaded up
both rottweilers and 2 cats and drove cross country to be with here! While we were there
(in the beginning of September) we lost our beloved Kiana (rottie). His parents were
building a house and she fell OFF the top story of the house! I have NEVER cried so much
in my LIFE!! The guys were working up top and had those shotgun shell powered nail guns
and fired it and it scared her and she moved quickly to get away and slipped and went
over! ..... The whole reason I am telling
you this is b/c after reading your story I wonder if it was the best thing! What if she
would have made a come back! I guess I will never know, but it just tears me apart! I am
SO proud of Jeb! That is SOO SOOO wonderful!
To move on w/ the story... a happier part...
In August we noticed our other Male Rottie being SO lonely, even though he had Jared's
parents dogs to play with. I really hadn't had enough time to heal over Kiana, but Jared
talked me into looking around for Bulldog pups! I was hesitant, but I did! I found a
litter in Panama City, FL and we went to take a peek! I must say, it just about mended a
broken heart! We fell in LOVE with ALL of them! I was ready to buy the WHOLE dang litter!
We FINALLY narrowed it down to ONE and put our deposit down! Once I got home that evening
I started thinking WHAT are you doing, how can you just go and "replace" Kiana...so then I
was on a guilt trip!
We went to see the puppy (Bruiser) twice a week, even though it was
nearly an hour drive! We wanted to bond with him and it made me feel much better to be in
his site, and him in mine! We got Bruiser in October and he is SUCH a sweet heart! I SWEAR
I'd have a million of em, if I had the room and the time...not to mention the money!! Here
it is already, MARCH! Hard to believe!!
We are back in California now.....Bruiser is 6 months old
now and SUCH a handful! I would love to share pictures of him if you would like to see
them! I have TOTALLY rambled away to a complete stranger, but I feel like I already know
you, after browsing your touching site! Once I hear back from you...and know that you
don't think I'm INSANE for writing SO much I'll be glad to send you pictures! I just had
to take a break and write to you...I am going to browse your site some more!! Have a
WONDERFUL day! Hug ALL those ADORABLE sweet bullies for me!!
P.S. I shouldn't have had SO much coffee...excuse me for rambling!!
