Water DishAt first use a glass pie plate if you have one, then non-tippable, easy-to-clean, dishwasher safe, water bowlsDistilled waterWe have well water to which no chemicals have been added. Chlorine will upset the puppy's intestinal system if he is not switched over gradually. Give only distilled water the 10 days. After that gradually work in a small amount of tap water each day while monitoring the pups stool to ensure the digestive system is not upset.Regardless of from whom you get your puppy, water supplies contain different chemicals therefore every Bully pup should be started out with bottled water. Experience and $333 in vet bills taught me that a sudden change in water, chemicals such as chlorine or minerals as iron etc. can stress a Bullies digestive system causing severe diarrhea, of course the same is true of food. Information presented here is strictly my opinion based upon research and/or 50 years experience at rescuing animals of all sorts. Consult your vet and perhaps even get a second opinion from another vet about all you read on my website. |
