- Harness and leashWhat a Vet specialist Told A Bully Owner - Click here At 3 months or so we use a British Training Lead in addition to the harness. These can be purchased at www.valleyvet.com Start off training your pup to walk on a lead... don't wait or it will be jerking against the lead and will be difficult to control. Remember, you are the master and your Bully is a DOG!! Not the other way around!!! (lol lol) - ShampooNo tears puppy shampooBaby Wipes Or Very Soft Bath ClothFor cleaning wrinkles, folds and ears.- Hand Mitt For GroomingYou need to get your "baby" use to being stroked with a "hand mitten" now so that you can remove loose hairs easily when it is older.- BedProvide a bed to be used outside of its crate. It should be placed in the room in which you will spend most of your time with it, i.e. family room. There is no need to purchase a 'dog bed', an old quilt, comforter or blanket folded in quarters works very well since it can be washed with little effort. If you sew or know someone who does, it makes for a neat looking bed if what you choose is not too thick, that way it can be stitched about 3-4 inches from the edges all the way around. I love to see old bed linens at yard sales.- Nail ClippersRegular nail clippers will do for the first few months, then you will need regular dog nail clippers. Cut nails once a week because they grow so fast and it will get your pup use to having this procedure done.*** Information presented here is strictly my opinion based upon research and/or 50 years experience at rescuing animals of all sorts. Consult your vet and perhaps even get a second opinion from another vet about all you read on my website. |
