Sent: Sunday, April 25, 2004 7:35 PM Subject: Katie Have been so, so busy that I haven't taken time to update you on your Newbury, Ohio baby. I t has been seven weeks since Katie joined me here. She is WONDERFUL !!! We have bonded so well. She fits well into my schedule and I into hers. Since I work out of my home, I am here with her most of the time; but when I do have to leave her she has done very, very well. When I have to go to my Mom's for an extensive amount of time, she travels right along with me. She is a good traveler. We have a few "playtimes" throughout the day . . . and when she gets really, really wound up we both know it is time to go out and then time to rest. She loves the flowers - a regular "Ferdinand". She doesn't like the rain and wasn't crazy about the snow; but by next winter I think she will love the snow . . . we'll see. She has gained about 7 pounds - about a pound a week. We have added a few more toys, but she still chooses to sleep with the "bunny" you sent. Even with all the toys (not really that many) she prefers my hands to anything else in the world. Well, I take that back; my hands are second to her food. She loves to eat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She sleeps through the night !!!!!! She can "sit", "sit-up" and "shake" her paw. Do I sound like a proud mother or what ??? Well, I guess I am. I love her so. Hope all is well, Susan (Sorry, no picture. Katie is from Juliet & King Bizkit's 12/03 litter.) Because the bath was filled for me, it was 2x as full and 2x as warm, which he apparently liked....after about 2 minutes of not moving, he started to doze off. His head would start to drop and then he'd wake up before water started pouring onto his underbite. His teeth looked like little icebergs with only the tips sticking out. We got our money's worth from Doggie Daycare today! The other picture was just so cute, I thought I had to send it to you. Sounds like you have your hands full, as usual, I can't tell you how funny I think your new collection of various animals is, and how it always brings a smile to my face when I read your journal! You and Bob are a match made in heaven! Have a wonderful week! - Stephanie

Well, she's a real trip. She has us laughing constantly. Well, she's 17 lbs., 12 inches high in the back, 10 inches long in the front, 18 inches long. Her muzzle is 2 inches long and 3 inches wide. She's a tiny bundle of energy. Hope you enjoy the pictures.- Jodi
![]() Sent: Tuesday, April 13, 2004 4:00 PM Subject: You are a crazeeee lady..... I just read your journal and I can't believe more birds and a Great Pyr!! I have 2 Great Pyr's to watch over my goats. A male and female, they keep an eye out for anything to bother anyone living here. You will need to get him knowing who all belongs there. I have to introduce Belle to everyone that comes here so she won't think they are strangers. They both will kill anything that comes into the yard and pasture if it isn't supposed to be here. They are wonderful dogs, my daughter just got two for house pets. Good luck with him. Take it easy, you remember what you have always told me. Take care of your self first. It sounds like you are spreading yourself too thin again. We don't want you getting down in bed again. Talk to you soon, Kim

He enjoys his coat, but would not go for booties. He's still a man you know, even though he is still a little skittish. He is doing well, as are we. Hope all is fine, I saw that you took last summer off. Take care! -Bill & Kathy Sheehan

![]() Sent: Saturday, March 06, 2004 1:44 PM Subject: Annie Formerly Savannah Hi Judy. Finally got a digital camera. Annie (product of Miss Ellie and Mini E from 9/11/02 litter) is our little princess. She is so much fun but I do have to say the most stubborn little girl yet. She is also very mouthy and doesn't like us to tell her what she doesn't want to hear. I am sending you a couple of pictures of her and her best friend, Hot Rod, who is a 14 year old cat. Really love following your journal especially Jelly Roll/Bean's progress. Wishing you all the best. Monica
Sent: Monday, April 05, 2004 1:02 PM Subject: Happy Easter Judy, I tried really hard to get Maggie to be a good “Easter Bully” and wear the Easter Bunny ears, but as you can see, it ended up looking more like she ate the Easter Bunny instead! J Hope you enjoy the pictures! Thanks a million for finding the time to keep us all updated on all of the goings-on, even with everything else you have to do! I check your webpage everyday when I’m at work…sometimes it’s exactly what I need to keep me going that day! Y’all take care! - Carol Lynn

Sent: Monday, April 19, 2004 10:17 PM Subject: Checking on you guys Judy,I dropped by the website to see what was going on and noticed that you guys were taking a break until June. Just wanted to make sure that you guys are ok. I'm sure that it was due to having puppies and not being able to take care of the upkeep of the website and care for the bullies good enough. All I can say is good for you! Everyone needs a break. And this way you can enjoy the puppies too. I'm sure dealing with the website is a headache sometimes. I couldn't help but notice that one of Smart Cookies' pups name was Mac. Just thought it was cool that he shared the same name with his big brother. Another cool thing that I noticed is that they are marked similar too. I'm gonna send a new picture of Mack with this email too. Again I hope all is well at Dogwood Pond. Take Care, Zeb Jones
Sent: Thursday, April 22, 2004 10:29 AM Hi Judy, Very sorry to hear Elvis died. He was a good boy. You'll find tons of pictures of her on our family website http://bullyteks.com If you want to see our retriever in action, especially check out our Nagshead entry http://www.bullyteks.com/pastblog/2003_06_01_old.asp The site is easy to scan through, just use the archive box on the right and as you scroll down you'll see the bulldog pics easily. As you'll see, we got Cleo (from Kate & Elvis's 11/06/01 Litter) a younger boyfriend named Dudley. He's 15 pounds her superior, but she still kicks his butt decisively every day at play. He cost us $1500 and his father was a mega champion but in my humble opinion isn't half the dog Cleo is. She springs up on the bed and into our high SUV like a jackrabbit whereas Dudley needs a big running start. She runs like the wind and can dodge on a dime and takes a lot to get winded while Dudley lumbers around clumsily with his tongue hanging low. Her pallet is perfect and breaths free like a Lab. She snores only lightly. Cleo also disciplines Dudley mounting him and and knocking him down whenever he is barking stupidly or otherwise seeking trouble. She's Daddy's little girl but loves to snuggle with Karen on the couch. She parades every new toy around the house shaking it at you as if to say, this is my woobie, just you try and take it. And she doesn't get tired of them. She's VERY playful and loves to play fetch. If I say "WHERE"S THE RING" she'll run all over the house until she finds it. She'll then bring it to you and poke you with it as if to say, "I did my part, now your throw it!" She always brings it right back to you. You can throw a stick WAY out in the water and she'll pound into the water and swim right back with it. Dudley sinks like a stone, so he waits feverishly on shore waiting to steal it when she brings it back. When she's happy her whole body wiggles like a rattle, sometimes jumping and wiggling in mid air...this makes the best greetings. The girls at doggy daycare call her "wiggle butt." I work from home quite a bit so I'm with the dogs a lot, but when Karen and I get dressed up and she smells cologne, she flops flat on the carpet and pouts like a little brat just staring at us with attitude. "I KNOW you're going out without me." Dudley couldn't care less. They both love going to the vet, although Cleo doesn't like the metal table. She takes shots like a trooper though and even kisses the vet after. Whenever I sing to her she immediately launches onto her hind legs to dance, especially for her song: "High on the mountaintop in Tennessee, prettiest bulldog you ever did see...." Although she's clearly dominant over Dudley, she still loves him dearly. She would let him eat all her food when he was a greedy little puppy so we had to separate their bowls. Dudley gets crated because he destroys everything, but Cleo has the full run of the yard and house while we're gone. When we get home, she runs to his crate as if to say, "ok, now let out my boyfriend!" She's been perfectly trained to only come up on the couch when invited. She sleeps on her doggy bed while we're away, not on the furniture. She loves wood of any kind and she'll carry around a stick endlessly if she finds one...looks like a 'stogey' hanging out of her mouth. Cleo is also very polite and careful with small children while Dudley likes to knock them flat. Anyway, I just realized this is really long, but you asked and of course I could talk about her all day! lol We love our Cleo! Take care, Shawn |
