This is the story of
Peanut and The Little Frog.

Peanut and I took a walk real early this morning. The dew made the grass wet and shiny.

Peanut dashed over to a sheet of plastic lying on the ground.

"What did you find, Peanut?" I asked.

"... a little frog! And he's stuck!", answered Peanut. "Every time he jumps, his back feet just slip! Come and see, Papa -- He's so funny!"

"Well, Peanut", I said. "It looks as if he has lost his traction because the dew made the plastic wet."

"How can I help?" the big, little bulldog asked.

"You could push him with your nose..." And he did and the frog hopped away.

I thought a minute and then told Peanut: "Everyone needs traction to get ahead in the world. -- to get a better job; to help yourself; to have fun..."

"I can't push everyone with my nose!" said Peanut.

"No, but you can let them in on a secret... The 'traction' that you need is 'Reading' and that one thing will let anyone get ahead!"

Peanut replied, "I know the letter 'R'! Rrrrrr-rrrrr-rrr"

"You sound like a motor boat!"
