This is the story of Peanut
and going to war...

"Can I give Sugar Cookie my White Rabbit?" asked Peanut in a very serious voice.

"Why do you want to do that?" I asked.

He looked very worried about something. "The radio said we are going to war", Peanut said.

"Peanut, you are safe and nothing is going to happen to you or your family. We aren't going away. Nothing in your world is changing."

Peanut spoke up, "But, Mama said Uncle Kirk is going away..."

"Uncle Kirk is a very brave soldier. He is going to protect all of us from some bad people! When someone is really bad, they need a 'time-out', right? When a lot of people are bad, they all need a 'time-out'. That's when our soldiers, like Uncle Kirk, go to war and make the bad people take a 'time-out'!"

Peanut didn't look worried any more. "Can I give my White Rabbit to Uncle Kirk?" he asked.
