Click Here For More Pictures At Judy's Garden Party!! Sunday - 11/20/05 4:15 PM This has been a busy, wonderful day. It started off with me feeling blue because I can't do all the things I use to do, but my spirits are soaring now. A wrinkled face with bright smiling eyes, just walked right up to me in Wal-Mart and started talking like she was my best friend. Near the end of our long conversation she lifted her "fishing cap" so I could see the new hair growth ... the chemo had made her hair fall out. She's a true survivor who enjoys every moment of life and wants everyone to win. Do you think it was a wonderful chance meeting or was she an Angel the Good Lord sent to me? - Judy Sunday - 11/20/05 1:15 AM Oh My, up with puppies. Gooey makes my heart sing when she snuggles up under my chin and wiggles. (edited 11/21/05) Petunia's puppies are at a rowdy puppy stage and poor Lisa Marie's puppy is having to fend for himself, but tonight I fixed that problem by isolating them from one another. I fed them warm puppy mush, wrapped them in a blankie warmed in the dryer, snuggled them up under my chin for a minute and then tucked them in with a "stuffed animal", hopeful it lasts for at least 3 hours. Have a peaceful, relaxing Sunday - Judy Saturday - 11/19/05 6:15 AM Kate woke me up barking just as Bob crawled back in bed after having taken care of the puppies. She was insistent so he got back up, telling me to rest a while longer, in just a few minutes I smelled coffee brewing. He is so very good to me. I've gotten 3 emails this week from people, I do not know, wanting advice on their Hyper Bully. In my opinion these are the things that make Bullies hyper: - Inappropriates Human Interaction - Lack of Human Interaction - Children - Other Animals - Sexual Frustration - Food Restriction - Food Coloring For additional comments, please read the complete article... I got a little carried away and had to make a webpage out of this entry. lol lol Goodness I have a flitting mind this morning .... Reasons for Bullies having AIs instead of natural breedingsNormally they are too short and chunky to accomplish the task therefore trying can:- introduce bacteria which can cause an infection, in particular with the female or cause - one or both to have a heart attack - either one can be injured or attacked by the other due to high frustration levels Additionally as with humans unprotected breedings can introduce sexually transmitted disease. If an AI procedure is used, the male will not be able to get anything from the female because there is no contact, but the female can via the semen. Friday - 11/18/05 1:15 PM The camera was in the kitchen and I told Bob he better take some pictures of me out working like a wild woman in 36F temps wearing my baglady outfit, which allows plenty of room for movement, because I might not ever be able to work this hard again. lol lol When I tell you we've been working hard, it's the TRUTH!!! These are just a small number of the pots we moved onto the porches or into the house on Wednesday before the freeze hit. I freely admit "I ain't right!" and I know of a few people who would agree but for other reasons.
I used a dog lead to wrap through the handle of the buckets, drug them out to the driveway and down to the house, from there Bob moved them around the porches and in place or into the house, he had the harder part.
We all make CHOICES, some are good and some are bad. Freezing weather was at hand, I had gotten sick because I was taking care of puppies and trying to get the plants ready for winter and now the crisis was upon me. One thing I knew, the plants had to be moved regardless of how I felt, because I knew full well I would be feeling much worse if I had just allowed them to freeze. I just did what I had to do, took medication not prescribed for me but which I had taken before and it worked wonderfully. It is a short term use medicine, unfortunately or I would take it all the time. What a difference that little pill made in my life, it actually gave it back to me for a few days. After doing all the work, then falling just as I was completing the task, I'm so sore I can barely move. BUT the good news is, I didn't break any bones, although I did break limbs and a couple of smaller pots. Friday - 11/18/05 12:45 PM
They brought us a picture of Goose from Smart Cookie & Mini-E's 8/24/03 Litter Chunky's Aunt and now big sister.
Friday - 11/18/05 11:30 AM Some more of the Chunky Cookie Pictures for Jess. There weren't but about 25 after all and remaining pictures are duplicates, or near to being, of what I've already uploaded. - Judy Click Picture To Stop The Parade And Get An Enlarged View.
Friday - 11/18/05 5:00 AM Chunky is to be taken to the Memphis Airport this morning where he will met his new Puppy Papa and GrandPapa. They are flying in, I'm guessing here, on the tailend of a business trip, to hand carry him back to PA. I'm sure they will be pleasantly surprised at this little guy. Chunky loves to put his nose almost touching mine, so he can feel me breathe and enjoy the rhythm of my body, I think after a few minutes he becomes hypnotized. I've never had a pup do this before. I'm off and running... Enjoy the weekend!!! - Judy PS All the pictures are causing a long download time for Judy's Journal, so I'll probably, cut it off at the 15th, add a link to the first 15 days and go from there. Judy's Journal - November 1-15, 2005 Thursday - 11/17/05 7:30 AM For "Jess, Darrell, & big sister Goose". I'm exhausted but I wanted to do a special favor for this really nice couple. Goose is Chunky's Aunt and also one of what I call my Mini-Bulldogs so they are very pleased with Chunky's size. These are the first 10 pictures, I have 20 more but they will have to wait until at least I've had a nap... I have these dated 2006 so I need to stop now!! Thursday - 11/17/05 3:15 AM We just got back from the vet's where 8 week old Gooey Cookie (4.75 lbs) & Chunky Cookie (5.25 lbs) were given a well puppy physical. Chunky Cookie is going home to PA tomorrow. I ran into Wal-Mart for suppies while Bob waited in the van with the babies, then he took care of some business at the county courthouse, while I stayed with the babies in the van. We are totally exhausted and running on only 3 1/2 hours of sleep from last night. We don't have the energy to sort plants so that and everything else that doesn't just have to be done NOW will have to wait. Meanwhile we've both worked on these pictures when we "just had to sit down for a minute". I hope you enjoy them. This is the pup, whom I held against my heart on the way home from the vet's where he was born via emergency c-section at 2 or so in the morning. He reminds me so much of a female pup named Billie from Carlotta and Jazzman's October 2004 litter. Click Picture To Stop The Parade And Get An Enlarged View. Thursday - 11/17/05 6:45 AM Freeze warning in effect until 9 am CST this morning... temperature is 27F. Stay warm and have a Good Day. - Judy Thursday - 11/17/05 4:30 AM - Up With Puppies Tuesday our high temperature was 80F, around 4 AM this morning it was 30F and is suppose to drop down to 23F before the sun rises. That severe of a drop has been a shock to all our systems! We went from making sure 'our gang' stayed cool to worrying about everything (dogs, plants, birds) being kept warm. We worked ourselves silly and now have wall-to-wall plants in three rooms of the house, 40 or so in the enclosed dog runs and two sections of the porch are underwraps. We have to spend today sorting this mess out. We just moved them all in, instead of spending time trying to pick which ones we were going to keep. It so goes against my nature to let anything die.
...AND don't you know right on the tailend of
accomplishing the task, moving a heavy plant, shown here on the back side of the goldfish pool,
I slipped on some wet, frosty leaves on a declining part of the yard and
landed HARD flat out. Bob ran to the rescue but I told him to let me be until I got my breath back.
It was a few minutes before I could get up and continue dragging in plants.
In a car accident my right foot was broken in three places, the doctors said I wouldn't be able to walk without a limp nor would I ever dance again... well I can DANCE, just can't recover my balance if I start to fall. (Watch Me Now!!! - I love that song.) Reba is very pregnant (bred 10/8 to lazy boy Peanut) and is doing the Bully Butt Wiggle for food, any and all food. We can't eat in the kitchen for her insistent begging. Yesterday, she got past the kiddy gate and followed me out onto the porch begging for my apple pie; just a dancin', prancin' and talkin' behind me. Bob had given her a tiny piece of crust. She thinks the turkey I cooked for all of us, is hers, ALL hers. She started claiming it when she could smell it cooking. The minute she saw it come out of the oven, she started singing her mournful tune and doing the Butt Wiggle. She acts like it is the end of the world (demanding bark for a bigger share) when the other dogs get a bite so I only feed her inside her crate. Normally they could eat out of her bowl, but I think she would get real ticked if they tried that now. Also Ms Reba thinks Ernie should find himself another home (I hate to admit this but I agree) .. whenever she comes upon him, she stares at him long and hard, off he slinks into the woods until she's gone. lol lol Reba our adorable BRAT is sister to Fatima (see below), daughter of happy Brooks and gentle Elvis who passed away last year, granddaughter of my beloved Sassy T and neice of Pepper Jack, the mournful singer who passed away earlier this year ... big sigh!! Saturday - 10/08/05 10:00 PM
We took Peanut & Reba to the vet's today to be bred... Peanut no doubt is the laziest of
male bullies. He snored all the way there, slept through Reba barking at the other dogs
who passed the van while we were waiting in the parking lot. After the deed was done,
he snored all the way home, but added a lengthy sigh to the end of each snore. lol lol ![]() Click - For Pictures & Stories About Peanut Butter Cookie!! Wednesday - 11/16/05 8:00 AM Good Morning!!Blooming Today ....
My fiery little temper comes out more easily when I'm down and I've recently returned the deposit on one puppy and told two people to find another breeder. I'm sure you are asking WHY?? It was because they were being .. I suppose a good word is ...demanding. A Cyber stalker has also appeared, only the Good Lord or an army will be able to help this person when I find out who they are. Special software has been installed to track them, so if the website seems a little slow you will know why. Dog Gone!! I just read the above, I do have my plate full don't I and enough to make anyone sick!! Off and running, Thank The Good Lord, I feel like charging off to work this morning after having been up with puppies in the early morning hours. Athens, the terrible storms here yesterday prevented me from uploading the pictures and giving you gender info. I will do it as soon as possible. Everyone, have a Good Day!! Smile at strangers, tell those you care about that you love them and if there is someone you need to tell "I'm sorry" do it now... none of us knows if today will be our last day, or theirs. - Judy Tuesday - 11/15/05 1:45 PM These are Miss B & Jazzman's Babies, born on Halloween and will be ready for their new homes around Christmas. I have asked the City of Athens Employees to name them for us, using Christmas words, such as "Bo" for Christmas Bows. I'm going to post these pictures were they can view them better and I hope to hear from them before the weekend. Thanks Athens!!! Click Picture To Stop The Parade And Get An Enlarged View.
Tuesday - 11/15/05 1:20 PM I put the puppies in a storage bin while I took their pool outside to wash. When I came back they were so cute I had to grab the camera. The flash bothered them so they kept changing positions and when they would settle back in, I'd start snapping away again. If these pictures don't make you smile, nothing will These pictures were taken 11/09/05....

First of all I had written on 11/11 I'm thrilled about a discovery! well it proved
not to be valid, so I'm back to square one on what is causing a health issue
I'm experiencing. RATS!!I want to share with you pictures I received of Tillie, one of what I call my Mini-Bulldogs, also from Sugar and Jazzman born 6/12/04. This first picture is one Ann sent me in 2004 upon getting Tillie home and settled in with her new big brother Sarge. From: Ann Sent: Tuesday, 11/08/2005 3:07 PM Subject: Tillie (El Fudge - Sugars first litter) I saw on your website that Sugar had more babies and they were shortly going to their homes. Tillie is also from Sugar and Jazzman. She was a year old in June and is now 43 lbs (probably a little fatter then she should be but she eats like a pig).
I have sent
you pictures before but have attached some you can send to their new perspective owners so
they can compare. Sarge is in the pictures as well, he is a full grown male 72 lbs. It
will give them a good perspective of what they can expect. You can also tell them that
Tillie is the most fun loving and crazy dog I have ever known. She does the most bizarre
things but is so loving. She is awesome and I would have 10 more of her if my husband
would let me. Just thought this might help if the people who have them reserved were
having trouble deciding on a mini.(The below is Ann's response to me asking on 11/12/05 what she meant by "crazy and bizarre" behavior!!)
From: Ann Monday, 11/14/2005 7:46 AM Subject: Tillie (a.k.a. El Fudge DOB 6/2/04 Sugar/Jazzman Litter) I don’t mind you posting my email or pictures of Tillie. As far as Tillie being "crazy and bizarre". She hops like a rabbit and snorts like a pig. She gets so excited sometimes that I think she is dancing. She jumps around kicking her legs up. She is pretty funny to watch. She thinks she is the “big dog” in the house and loves to jump on Sarge's back. She loves the water. We have a big water bowl outside and she sticks her whole head in and splashes around. We got her a baby pool this summer and she loved it but decided to chew the bottom so it would no longer hold water. Sometimes when I am in the shower I look down and she has popped her little head in trying to lick the shower water.
She is great with kids. We don’t have any but a good friend of mine has a 2 year old.
Tillie had never been around children but she is so gentle. The little girl will push
Tillie's head, she will scream and Tillie just plays along loving the attention. I would
trust her around any baby or small child, although I watch her at all times just in case.
She is independent and stubborn but she really does mind pretty well. We keep her in a cage when she sleeps, it’s her space and she generally likes sleeping there. We do though have some random nights that she decides to get up at night for a drink of water and then she runs from one room to another trying to get me to let her sleep with us. I would let her sleep with us but she just snores too loud. I can’t believe the sound that comes from that little body. We have taught her some tricks and she is pretty quick to learn as long as treats are involved.
She is a great dog. Very different from my male who loves his ball and likes to play
fetch. She likes to jump on him while he plays fetch but has no interest in actually
playing herself. He is very jealous of anyone giving her attention but she doesn’t care.
She will either wait her turn or wiggle her way in. When I lay on the floor with her she
pushes her head against mine and wiggles all around.Let me know if you have any other questions. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him."
