Click Here For More Pictures At Judy's Garden Party!! Tuesday - 11/15/05 1:45 PM These are Miss B & Jazzman's Babies, born on Halloween and will be ready for their new homes around Christmas. I have asked the City of Athens Employees to name them for us, using Christmas words, such as "Bo" for Christmas Bows. I'm going to post these pictures were they can view them better and I hope to hear from them before the weekend. Thanks Athens!!! Click Picture To Stop The Parade And Get An Enlarged View.
Tuesday - 11/15/05 1:20 PM I put the puppies in a storage bin while I took their pool outside to wash. When I came back they were so cute I had to grab the camera. The flash bothered them so they kept changing positions and when they would settle back in, I'd start snapping away again. If these pictures don't make you smile, nothing will These pictures were taken 11/09/05....

First of all I had written on 11/11 I'm thrilled about a discovery! well it proved
not to be valid, so I'm back to square one on what is causing a health issue
I'm experiencing. RATS!!I want to share with you pictures I received of Tillie, one of what I call my Mini-Bulldogs, also from Sugar and Jazzman born 6/12/04. This first picture is one Ann sent me in 2004 upon getting Tillie home and settled in with her new big brother Sarge. From: Ann Sent: Tuesday, November 08, 2005 3:07 PM Subject: Tillie (El Fudge from Sugars first litter) I saw on your website that Sugar had more babies and they were shortly going to their homes. Tillie is also from Sugar and Jazzman. She was a year old in June and is now 43 lbs (probably a little fatter then she should be but she eats like a pig).
I have sent
you pictures before but have attached some you can send to their new perspective owners so
they can compare. Sarge is in the pictures as well, he is a full grown male 72 lbs. It
will give them a good perspective of what they can expect. You can also tell them that
Tillie is the most fun loving and crazy dog I have ever known. She does the most bizarre
things but is so loving. She is awesome and I would have 10 more of her if my husband
would let me. Just thought this might help if the people who have them reserved were
having trouble deciding on a mini.(The below is Ann's response to me asking on 11/12/05 what she meant by "crazy and bizarre" behavior!!)
From: Ann Sent: Monday, November 14, 2005 7:46 AM Subject: Tillie (a.k.a. El Fudge DOB 6/2/04 Sugar/Jazzman Litter) I don’t mind you posting my email or pictures of Tillie. As far as Tillie being "crazy and bizarre". She hops like a rabbit and snorts like a pig. She gets so excited sometimes that I think she is dancing. She jumps around kicking her legs up. She is pretty funny to watch. She thinks she is the “big dog” in the house and loves to jump on Sarge's back. She loves the water. We have a big water bowl outside and she sticks her whole head in and splashes around. We got her a baby pool this summer and she loved it but decided to chew the bottom so it would no longer hold water. Sometimes when I am in the shower I look down and she has popped her little head in trying to lick the shower water.
She is great with kids. We don’t have any but a good friend of mine has a 2 year old.
Tillie had never been around children but she is so gentle. The little girl will push
Tillie's head, she will scream and Tillie just plays along loving the attention. I would
trust her around any baby or small child, although I watch her at all times just in case.
She is independent and stubborn but she really does mind pretty well. We keep her in a cage when she sleeps, it’s her space and she generally likes sleeping there. We do though have some random nights that she decides to get up at night for a drink of water and then she runs from one room to another trying to get me to let her sleep with us. I would let her sleep with us but she just snores too loud. I can’t believe the sound that comes from that little body. We have taught her some tricks and she is pretty quick to learn as long as treats are involved.
She is a great dog. Very different from my male who loves his ball and likes to play
fetch. She likes to jump on him while he plays fetch but has no interest in actually
playing herself. He is very jealous of anyone giving her attention but she doesn’t care.
She will either wait her turn or wiggle her way in. When I lay on the floor with her she
pushes her head against mine and wiggles all around.Let me know if you have any other questions. Monday - 11/14/05 7:30 AM At 5:30 AM, I walked two of the Bullies, although a light rain was falling. The others wanted to wait until it was at least light outside; they laid real still and just looked up at me as if to say, "humans are so hard to train, it's dark and rainy out there". I made 2 crustless quiche last night (Both Mushroom & Onion, Crab added 2nd) for early morning breakfast and midnight snacks when we're up with puppies. They will last for 3-4 days. They are so quick and easy to cook and eat. We're going to be eating on the run .... we've got lots to do the next few days, before it turns off real cold. "A person's true character comes out when they get mad"... Grandmother would say that to me because I have a fiery little temper, which I try extremely hard to keep in check. Here are some truths I'm going to try to live by this week: - When tempted to lash out at a person who has been unkind, remember two wrongs don't make a right.
- You can't talk to a person who doesn't listen.- Some things are better left unsaid. - People see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear and there is nothing you can do to change them. I hope you will be able to start the week off in a positive manner and the remainder of the week will follow suit. With this beauty in bloom and lots of puppy kisses, there isn't much that will get me down. Have a good one!!! - Judy Sunday - 11/13/05 6:30 AM Gracious I do believe winter is about to arrive in our area and stay. It has flirted with us a couple of times, now it's time for me to get serious about tucking the plants into cozy places for the winter. I have to confess that the Brugs have diminished my love for my other plants at present, but mites and other insects being so attracted to them when they are inside, will make me more appreciative of the other plants shortly. I have 20 bushy hanging baskets of very common Phils and Pothos which require so little care, another 10 or so of "special" Phils, 30 hanging pots of various Spider Plants, plus 40 or so baskets of Begonias who have lived in spite of me and my bushy Wandering Jew vines which have recently become the nesting places for the cats (Mr Cat and Miss Kitty) When it got down to 34F the other night I covered a long tray of Wandering Jews with a sheet and Ernie thought I made him a bed.... yuck Ernie, get yourself off my flowers!! Hope you have a Peaceful Sunday, you know what I will be doing. - Judy Saturday - 11/12/05 11:30 AM My friend Lynne, who has been battling lung cancer is tapering off the steroids and has finished the full brain radiation treatments for the cancer lesions which were discovered in her brain a couple of weeks ago. Her evaluation
scans are set for December 6th and her doctor will consult with her on the 7th . I would greatly
appreciate your kindness in offering prayers and positive thoughts for this courageous Lady.
The radiation treatments kill the hair follicles therefore she will never have hair again, but she's so spunky that she bought herself a sassy red wig. She didn't tell me I couldn't post the picture, like she has in the past so I took the liberty. Disappointing news, one of MissB male puppies has a deformed urinary tract, his "male" parts. He went to the vet yesterday and there is a long name for it which I will look up later and give you full details. He is adorable, growing like a weed and is 11 days old now. The vet said there was no way to predict the outcome, worst case appears to be his inability to control his urine as he develops, presently he has to be stimulated to release his urine, just like all the other pups. We've never experienced this before and the vet didn't act as if he had much experience, but did know the name of the problem and even brought out a vet medical dictionary so Bob could read about the condition himself... about that time one of his assistants advised me to go check on the van where Sweetie Pie and Jazzman had attracted the attention of a person whom she didn't know, or perhaps knew too well. Plants have come in and out of the house this week, we are having such crazy weather it's been difficult to decide how best to care for them. About half of those we put in the enclosed dog run are not doing well so we have to re-think that decision. We can't put the panels up on the porches yet, the temperature got up to 87F or so one day this week, which would have cooked them all if they had been enclosed on the porch, decisions, decisions. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. - Judy Friday - 11/11/05 7:30 PM My computer is finally back up. This has been a productive and enlightening week. I'm thrilled about a discovery ... I'll tell you all about it later when it has been verified. If the computer had been up and running, I would not have had the presence of mind to make the discovery so it's been a good thing. Nurse Nan expect a very long email!!!! I'll have much to report and pictures to post tomorrow, but just wanted to touch base tonight before we crawl into bed.... we've been up and working hard since 4:30 AM. - Judy Sunday - 11/06/05 6:00 PM IMPORTANT NOTICENote: The reason the Sugar Cookies are Unregistered is because I bought their Grandmother, 6 months old, from a young couple whom I had talked with several time telling them how to take care of her when they first got her. They did not follow-up to get her registration papers from the person they got her from. I'm sure there is a fine pedigree somewhere but I sure can't get my hands on it. I could have registered her with NKC, but I chose not to do that, instead all of her offspring have been sold as Unregistered. Saturday - 11/05/05 6:00 PM SugarBabies On Parade

Click Here - For Litter Pictures!! Saturday - 11/05/05 11:30 AM I had planned to get up early this morning and go to the once a month Flea Market in Ripley MS, but... When I got up at 5:30 AM all was quiet, I had a high blood pressure headache, so I took my medicine and back to bed I went. I'm getting a slow start to the morning, since I still have the headache but it isn't as intense now so I can do my chores.
The SugarBabies, Chunky Cookie & Gooey Cookie are 6 weeks plus 1 day old, so it's time to get them prepared
to go to their new homes:- Last night they were given their 1st puppy shot and an additional preventive wormer (given every 2 weeks), the complete vaccination series consists of 4 shots given 3 weeks apart. Click Here - Worm Medication!!
- For the last week, they have been eating Purina Puppy Chow/Eukanuba Puppy Food mixed 1:1 and softened it water until it
is totally mushy, then sprinkled with dry baby formula so that it becomes almost the consistency of oatmeal.
After they had their fill of the mushy food Lisa Marie joined them so they could nurse until they dropped off
to sleep. We will reduce her visits to one a day, then none.
- A week ago they were moved into a giant plastic storage container by themselves because
they were crawling out of the pool and today they were separated into individual crates in the
kitchen, sitting side-by-side so that they can see each other and us as we go about our
business of cooking, washing dishes etc. I spent most of my time in this room, where the
other puppies are in their pool. This will ease them into being by themselves instead of
the new owner coming to pick them up and pop that night they are alone in an unfamiliar
environment with people they don't know.
- The bottom of the crate is covered in a soft mat and they were given a stuffed toy, both
of these items will go with them when they go to their new home. Previous experience has
shown some keep their "baby" for a very long time , even years and others only hang on to
it until new toys are given to them. The blankie/mat will either become their "toilet mat"
or a blankie they will drag around with them forever, just depends upon the pup.
We are hopeful that the end result will be a happy well adjusted puppy who will not cry
when it goes to it's new home. Our objective is less stress for all involved. When it's
just two or three puppies we can do this but with more we just don't have the room to separate
them out. I hope you find the puppy information I'm providing to be of interest. Have a Good Weekend and check back tomorrow for pictures. - Judy Friday - 11/04/05 5:00 PM Halloween Costume Contest!!! From: "Millie"Sent: Friday, September 30, 2005 4:53 M Subject: Pebbles Update - a.k.a. Lou from Carlotta & Jazzman's 5/23/05 Litter
How are you doing? I read you are keeping Dixie Pie! She looks very cute in pictures.Pebbles is growing and happy as can be. She loves to play and romp - I never knew bulldogs were so energetic. Her whole body wiggles with happiness when she sees you
She still drives Boomer nuts, and still plays rough with him - but neither has ever harmed the other. I
still break them up daily because they get too loud and rough, but she truely loves to
play with Boomer. Will enclose some recent pictures. She is starting to look more like a
bulldog instead of a puppy.Hope all is well with your new pups. Hope you are feeling better also. - Millie P.S. The picture of the guy with Pebbles is my oldest son, Dave, he just loves her!

From: StephanieSent: Monday, September 26, 2005 7:05 PM Subject: Mortymer's Day at the Pool
Before the city pool is closed for the season, they let dogs in to play for 4 hours and
all proceeds went the the Humane Society. Mortymer had a good time, with the exception of
when he fell in face first, but overall enjoyed himself.
Thought you would like the pictures. The one where he is standing at the edge of the pool
that reads "6 inches" is my favorite because he had just fallen in the deep end (2 feet)
and he was so mad at us - acting like we just about let him drown. He went to a stranger
for comfort and just glared at us while we laughed. The next picture where he cautiously
gets in is also a favorite, as it took him almost 3 minutes to muster up the nerve to get
back in after the previous 'trauma'. As always he was a hit, and drew quite a crowd!
Well if Mortymer got his personality from his father, there will never be one like it! I have never met a dog like him, I know we raised this little monster, he sure is hilarious! I can't wait to see pictures of his half brothers/sisters! Gotta run, when we are home he only drinks out of the tub- he apparantly likes fresh water, he stands and licks on the faucet until I turn it on - I think he thinks it is an udder and his licking magically turns it on! What a BRAT!
Wednesday - 11/02/05 4:00 AM Since I am just now posting this email from Susan, you can tell how far behind I am in answering emails, but I'm only one person and I'm not going to stroke out over my "list of things to do". I'm steady working away so you'll hear from me. ![]() From: Susan Date: 9/16/05 Subject: Abbie a.k.a. Angel Pie, daughter of Sweetie Pie & Jazzman
Abbie is doing wonderful. She thinks Winston is the best thing since puppy chow and he
more or less just tries to ignore her. It's actually pretty funny. I'll be sitting on the
couch and they'll be on the floor and when he gets tried of her bitting on him or just
generally bugging him, he'll jump on the couch where she can't get him. Of course that
just makes her bark more. So I'll be sitting there on one end of the couch, Winston on the
other, and we just kind of look at each other like, "Man she's loud".
BUT if she can't
find me and starts crying, Winston is the first one to go find her and make sure she's
okay. If someone's playing with him and another person holding her, he'll go over everyonce in a while
just to check on her. He's such a sweetie. You were right about her, she is little
miss attitude. But she is so funny. Hope everyone is doing well. Give Jeb a big wet sloppy
kiss and hug from his girls. Talk to ya soon, SusanFrom: "Susan Chandler" Sent: Wednesday, October 19, 2005 4:27 PM Subject: Abigail Hey there! Just a quick update. Little Abbie had her last round of shots today and weighed in at a whopping 22.5 pounds. I tried to help her out and said that she had just eaten, that's why she had gained five pounds since the last visit. Us girls have to stick together. Everyone at the vet's thinks it's so cute that when I hold her I could take my hands away and she would still be attached to my shoulder. She won't let go of her mama. All in all my little heiffer is doing great. She has no problem jumping on the couch if she thinks I have food, but if I'm just sitting there she suddenly becomes helpless and welps to let me know she needs help. Hope everyone's doing well. Give Jeb, Sweetie Pie, and Jazzman big hugs. Susan p.s. What's this about you having a stubborn bullie? (Sassy T) I have never heard of such a thing. (Ha, ha) ;) ![]() From: Caron Date: 9/21/05 Subject: Baxter, Dutch Apple Pie, son of Sweetie Pie & Jazzman They are getting along wonderful, your suggestion worked really well. Moses and Baxter play so well together, and Moses is really gentle with him. Its amazing how they know not to play too rough with little ones. Here is a picture of Baxter, he is getting bigger everyday, and learning how to sit, stay and the word "no", he hears that one a lot!!! (laugh) I love him dearly and spoil him rotten. Take Care.- Caron ![]() From: Caron Date: 9/21/05 Subject: Baxter, Dutch Apple Pie, son of Sweetie Pie & Jazzman Hi Judy, Hope all is going well, just sharing some pictures of Baxter in his costume. Baxter had surgery on his eye last Thursday, he had fatty tissue buildup in his third eyelid, but all is well and as you can see he is feeling better and is getting so big. He is the most precious little pumpkin ever!!!
Tuesday - 11/01/05 3:30 PM I had to share this comment on my statement of (When you are tempted to lash out at a person who has been unkind to you, remember two wrongs don't make a right.) Dorothy made me laugh out loud when she wrote.... HAH! HAH! Not only that, it makes THEM feel guilty and awful, thereby saving you the trouble of torturing them yourself! Just think of it as a self-cleaning oven for the soul. Hang in there and keep your tail waggin'! Tueaday - 11/01/05 10:30 AM The newly born pups are full sisters and brothers to Bessie Smith
I finally got around to checking the gender of Miss B & Jazzman's puppies, 3 females and 2 males. We had one crazy night with maybe 2 hours of sleep!!! The newly born puppies need to nurse every 2 hours. However Lisa Marie wants to care for them, so when Bob goes to get Miss B, Lisa gets beside herself and the only thing that will calm her is for the other puppies to be put with her. Since one person can't handle two sets of puppies, it takes us both. Now for the problem, I have to have 8 hours of sleep or I turn into an ugly acting person. An insufficient amount of sleep last night is bound to catch up with me by nightfall, but right now I'm wired. Bob just laid down to take a nap, I'll stay up, do a few chores and take care of the puppies, then hopefully I'll be able to take a nap this afternoon, so we can do it again tonight. After about 4 days of this, we both get grouchy and start being extremely short with each other, then remind ourselves why we're snapping ... About two weeks ago, I announced I hated the aftershave he was wearing, so Bob decided I should pour it down the drain, cause it might make me feel better. We started giggling, calling the aftershave "puppy poo" and then snuggled in for a long nap. We love our "babies" but we are only human.- Judy "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him." James D.
