Puppy Gal Welcomes You To
I started this feature for friends and family to answer their
"What's going on?" emails, therefore, I probably tell too much, but you are
welcome to laugh, cry and sigh with us.

Friday - 03/31/06 12:30 PM The rains have passed through our area but it's still cloudy. The temperature is about 70F so if the sun would pop out it would be a glorious day. My body would love a long stay in mild sunlight.
The critters were delighted when I descended the stairs earlier this morning.. I could
imagine them saying, oh how we missed you Mama. They were licking their lips, some
doing the Bully Butt Wiggle, the yard-dogs were jumping all around and the cats were so
excited they came into the kitchen. I was totally impressed with their display of affection,
until I realized they were begging me to give them the chicken Bob had boiling away on the
stove. The smell must have been driving them crazy for a couple of hours. lol lolWhen people say they want a Bulldog because they are so loyal, I respond, "They are until someone comes by with a bag of burgers". Jeb is always trying to get in visitor's vehicles. I don't think he would miss us in the least especially if he was well fed. Have a delightful weekend. - Judy
Thursday - 03/30/06 10:30 AMI feel about how Peanut looks in this picture!! He's the Bully of a thousand faces. Here he had rather stay outside to play, so when the British Training Lead was looped over his head to lead him inside .. he started pouting. lol lol Click here for more Peanut pictures! At his parents wedding.

Thursday - 03/30/06 8:00 AM We surely are having crazy weather, the high temperature for today is suppose to be 78F with a low tonight of 60F, while just a few days ago the low was 28F!!! I wanted to make you smile and the best way to do that is to post pictures of puppies, so here are pictures of Carlotta's two male puppies. Have a Good Day, rejoice in who you are, what you've accomplished and those who love you!! - Judy
Tuesday - 03/28/06 7:00 PM I need a cyber hug... I didn't want to tell you but.... Looking for mold on Saturday, knocked me on my behind!! I got so sick that ALL my lymph nodes swelled up, chest closed up, temperature went up, etc. I'm definitely onto something here. I had to go to bed, didn't crawl out until 1PM yesterday and only then did we realize Carlotta was going into labor. I felt like I had been run over by a mac truck and I suppose I looked it because the vet assistants helped me to revive the puppies. Normally they know I prefer to do it myself, but they didn't ask yesterday.. just said Ms Judy I'll do these two, then another said I've got this little guy. We got back home and I had to help Bob until about 7:30 then I went back to bed, got up at 9 this morning and I'm headed to bed now. I have to get better so I can make decisions about what to do.... - Judy Monday - 03/27/06 4:30 PM This has been one crazy day!!! However things have now settled down with the arrival of a new litter of 5 English Bulldog Puppies about an hour ago, we just arrived home. The proud parents are Carlotta & Jazzman. Click here for pictures of their prior litter! We're holding our breath since the first week is critical. While you are dreaming tonight, one of us will be up with puppies, probably Bob!!! - Judy Sunday - 03/26/06 6:00 PM 3/25/06 Pumpkin Pie went to his new home in FL with KC & Doug...
KC related her experience of being sick very near like I have been and told me she finally found out it was mold, so I've been making plans to move the plants out ASAP. We were going to do it today but I decided to wait one more day since the low is suppose to be 34F, just a tad too close to 32F for me to be comfortable. Last year we moved them out on 3/25, so wish me luck in that we don't have another freeze. Next we're going to do spring cleaning to see if the combination will make a difference in my health. I also found water standing under the front of the house which translated into MOLD, so we've got a drainage problem to resolve. The smallest of Eve's puppies has an eye that did not develop. We've never had this happen before so we just have to wait and see if he's going to be healthy, otherwise. If so I'll probably try to place him with someone who already has one of our "babies", but that's a decision for the future. Speaking of only having one eye, Noel has got to be the funniest little critter around and surprisingly although her left side from mouth to tail is deformed due to the erupting of the cyst, she is very smart. She was easily housebroken and pays attention when you call her name or tell her "no". We were up for several hours during the night and got up early this morning so it's time to prop our feet up and rest. Have a good night. - Judy Friday - 03/24/06 9:00 PM My entry for yesterday stirred at least one heart. My intentions are to edit the email I received and post it here within the next few days. Today is not going to be a productive day. For one thing I'm lazy or maybe plain tired and upon closer examination some of my bright ideas in reference to a greenhouse, won't work because they are too expensive. Now I'm considering getting rid of all the plants to see if they are causing my bronchitis. The thing I don't want to do is accidentlly kill them by moving them outside too early ... the last frost date is certainly a moving target. I sincerely hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. - Judy Thursday - 03/23/06 3:30 PM While washing the dishes my mind drifted to a person I've known for a long time. I thought about her as a young woman and the hate she carried in her heart for her father who suddenly left her mother never to be seen again. As the years rolled forward, other people were added to her "hate list" and now she seems to hate everyone. I wondered why her list grew and if once we allow hate to enter our hearts, does it grow like a giant mushroom, living off of and finally consuming heart and soul. It was at this point that the above phrasing came to mind. I believe I had a good hold on the thread of truth and was about to unravel this puzzle, when one of Eve'e puppies squealed like it was being killed.... so much for solving one of the mysteries of human nature.. ....off I ran to the rescue, only to find he was dreaming. - Judy Wednesday - 03/22/06 4:30 PM The sun is out, it stopped raining, the temperature is 48F and the winds finally died down. Most of the morning we had a wind chill of 28F... Dog My Cats, that's cold!!! Bob and I have just been plodding along, no enthusiasm or energy, but tomorrow will be different. Have you were been awaken by someone shouting "kill 'em dead"? I have now... Bob was playing cowboys in his sleep early yesterday morning and shouted that out. Oh Mercy, I thought I was dead but did not go to Heaven. This morning at 3:30 I awoke to a loud banging noise and barking Bullies. So I scurried down to make sure he was alright since he wasn't in the bed. He was asleep on the couch not wanting to wake me up, but since I woke him up he came upstairs, only to wake me up two hours later when I finally drifted off to sleep. Needless to say I started the day off being grouchy. I'm going to suggest he drink a "hot toddy" in the middle of the night when he's up with puppies, then maybe I'll get some sleep. lol lol I'm off to finish up the evening chores so I can go to bed early. - Judy Tuesday - 03/21/06 1:30 PM Whew!!! I like to have never selected 8 pictures out of the 18 to display here. If you want to see them all you can Click Here. She is so very sweet and cuddles right in up under my chin. Delta Dawn & Jazzman's Sweet Georgia Brown
Tuesday - 03/21/06 6:30 AM Dog Gone!! Just as I sat down to give you an update, Kate started to bark to be let out to potty. Hopefully I'll be back later today. I had to strip out the cute picture display code because it was creating a long "load time" for the website. I hope these pictures make you smile!! - Judy Delta & Jazzman's Lucille
Monday - 03/20/06 2:30 PM To all of you who have sent me emails, I must ask you to please be patient, my life is in BACKLOG!!! As of this moment I have 45 emails to answer and a bucket full of "must do now" chores, caring for the puppies comes before everything!
Monday-03/20/06 10:30 AMThis is Eve (a.k.a Zayda) ... I never left the computer, I've been editing and sizing pictures of her puppies. Two of them had poop on them but the pictures were just too cute to trash so I tried to "airbrush' it out.
The pups don't do anything but eat and poop at this stage. They were
born 3/5/2006 and there are 9 of them. The Sunday morning c-section, which went well for Eve,
but I went into shock about the time Bob brought me the 6th one to revive
and said there were more. lol lol
The sun is out and our gang are barking to go potty so I have to run. Hope you are having a good Monday morning and that these pictures are helping to make it even better. - Judy
Monday - 03/20/06 9:30 AM What a cold and rainy Monday morning we're having. It's 37F, oops I have plants on the back porch. I hope they're not dead. The Bullies are still acting like they are asleep so we won't make them go out to potty. I bet if I started cooking bacon or peeling boiled eggs they would move, as in "give me some, give me some"!! lol lol Saturday, on the farm next door a group of young people had a good time riding 4 wheelers, etc. When we were outside we could hear them causing us to remember our younger days. However the yarddogs, Fluffy, Boomer & Dumpy, seem to have forgotten their puppy days because they insisted upon barking, which cause the Bullies to bark .. it was almost more than we could stand. Finally we realized the young people were going to camp out for the night. I locked Boomer & Dumpy in the "den" we've provided for them on the back porch [a Great Dane size crate covered with comforters] placed where it was hard for them to hear the commotion, and Bob put Fluffy in a crate in the van. Early yesterday morning Fluffy gave us long disgusted looks when she was let out, but the boys liked it, no Fluffy to boss them around!!! I'm off to do chores... - Judy Saturday - 03/18/06 9:30 AM
Spring is here so life is much better, the Bullies can stay out longer, lay in the sun and dream
of big bones. The temperatures have been so nice I wanted to take down the poly panels from the porch
and let in fresh air for the plants... but I got busy with other tasks and was thankful I did. One
weather website is forecasting 28F for Tuesday and another 32F, the plants can't survive temperatures
that low.
And inside you'll not find much furniture but you will find ....
I'm off to look at plans for a detached wooden greenhouse. lol lol - Judy Friday - 03/17/06 11:00 AM I forgot to tell you ... I'm in this "elimination of irritations" mode, so I oiled the door, trashed a couple of plants that weren't doing well, etc. Later, I heard Bob muttering to "our gang", don't cross your Mama. lol lol Friday - 03/17/06 8:00 AM From Judy, Bob & All The Critters
Those of you who know me well won't believe I responded to the rude email yesterday. Yes I did!! I decided perhaps that is part of the "life change" I need to make. Then I got to thinking, maybe if I went into my email file labeled "rude people" and responded to their emails, I would feel so good I wouldn't have to go to Thailand for the physical evaluation ..... surely would save a lot of money. lol lol Pumpkin Pie - the people who said they wanted him at the first of the month have made a deposit, I'm waiting to find out when they can come get him to make a final determination. It's important that he go to his new home immediately. The load time for the journal had gotten too long therefore I split it into two parts. To read the early part of the month Click Here - March 1-15, 2006 "Babies" are calling - Judy PS It was the new picture display function that was taking so long to load, I removed four of Pumpkin's pictures which greatly reduced the load time. Thursday - 03/16/06 2:45 PM Whew!! I'm trying to take it easy this afternoon. I washed, washed and washed the morning away, then deep dried Egg Rolls for lunch. Up until recently, we seldom ate fried food but Bob bought me a Rival almost commercial size deep fryer which is great!! Now we use it instead of using the microwave for items like Corn Dogs & Egg Rolls, fast and so much better tasting. I still have 2 of Delta's and Pumpkin from Sweetie Pie's litters to be placed, I just haven't felt like dealing with people. Speaking of which, people never cease to amaze me.... We had bred Smart Cookie and couldn't decide if she was pregnant or a having a false pregnancy. Although she ate enough for herself plus 6 puppies, she was gaining weight all over not just the abdominal area, but since her mammary glands were enlarged we felt she could be having a small litter, 1 or 2 pups. The people who wanted one of her puppies, kept checking with me and advised them of the situation. Then since the 13th was her last due date, when I received an email from them, I informed them that I was sorry, but it was a false pregnancy and told them about another litter born 3/5. I was greeted this morning with one of the rudest emails I've ever gotten. It all boiled down to the fact that when I used the phrase "false pregnancy" they didn't know what it meant and didn't follow the golden rule of, "if you don't know a word or phrase, look it up". I don't respond to RUDE emails, to do so would lower myself to their level, but I surely am tempted at times and will go so far as to type a response in my Microsoft Word program. Maybe one day, I'll post to this journal what I would have like to have told a few people. OH, do you think if I did, it would relieve some stress, therefore I would be healthier?? What an idea!! (lol lol)
The below is a result of me telling Bob I wanted a different way
to display pictures. He located the code on programming group website.
Oops the code we put it was causing a very long loading delay for this
page so I took it out 3/20/06.
