Puppy Gal Welcomes You To
I started this feature for friends and family to answer their
"What's going on?" emails, therefore, I probably tell too much, but you are
welcome to laugh, cry and sigh with us.

If you have made a deposit or paid for an animal that you did not get, please report it to Internet Fraud Complaint Center and reference this complaint number I05122914506263 Please be patient with me, I'm backlogged with emails, I have 76 emails at this point and before the day is over there will be more. Tuesday - 01/31/06 9:00 AM "Sing, Sing a song, Sing it out, Sing it strong, Sing it all day long" .... I don't know where that came from or if I've got the lyrics correct, but I'm going to sing whatever song all day long, while I work. Oaty and Cherry are doing great. I'll have to check to see when their stitches are to come out. Oaty is such a small thing and I've been working on the assumption he was going to be one of what I call my Minis, but I compared his baby pictures with Peanut's and I'm tickled pink at the prospect that he might be a Peanut Jr.!!! I'll have to take pictures and let you all compare them with Peanut's.
Cherry who has a heart murmur and is shown here with Miss B's Holly, is going to live with my friend Priscilla, who has Cherry's Aunt, Fatima. Fatima is
really a spoiled brat so we're going to keep our fingers crossed that she will accept Cherry,
who may be too much like her for them to get along. Then again Fatima may baby Cherry.
Your continued prayers for my friend Lynne will certainly be appreciated. Her Mother-In-Law told me last night the doctors can't determine what is causing fluid to collect in her lung and Lynne's spirits are down. I posted on her Prayer Forum Thread asking people to send her emails. The first time she was in the hospital I did the same thing and the emails lifted her spirits greatly. "Babies" are calling, so I have to run. - Judy Sunday - 01/29/06 1:00 PM Cleaning up some errors on the website, I came across this Sept, 2003 story and I thought you would enjoy it...... A Bullfrog has taken up residency in or around the Goldfish Pond. His 24x7 croaking sounds like a string being held, then plucked on a guitar, and it's loud!! When I let Jeb out to potty this morning he heard this unusual sound and ran to investigate. I swear he can move fast when he deems "it is necessary". LOL
After several minutes of
scampering around looking, the "strays" took pity on him and showed him the frog by
running to it and barking. It was in the grass about 2 feet out from the pond, not moving
regardless of how much noise they made. I have never touched a big frog or even been that close to
one, but some frogs can
be poisonous to dogs, so I was determined to get it away from Jeb, the strays had more
sense than to actually touch it. I tried to hold Jeb back with one hand and pick up the
frog with the other, but I couldn't. Finally, I gave Jeb a little push and grabbed the
frog with both hand (nasty, nasty, ugly, ugly!!!) That dang frog was so big it was all I
could do to hold him with two hands (I have tiny hands - size 4 wedding ring), but I got
it to the pond and tossed it in .... you've already guess I'm sure, that my next struggle
was to keep Jeb from going into the pond after it!!!Sunday - 01/29/06 10:30 AM I had a sleep-hangover after having slept 14 hours!!! Needless to say I was exhausted to have slept that long. The electricity had gone off at some point so I had to restart my computer, three times before it loaded correctly, then I went into a panic because I had lost most of my 2006 emails.. all that I could find were Jan 1-28, 2006. Dog Gone, I went back to bed. If you are a praying person, please pray for my friend Lynne. She's back in the hospital having fluid removed from her "bad" lung. Once fluid starts collecting it's a continuous thing. I don't think they expected hers to fill up again this soon. I'm gonna shake myself free of worries and cares for a little while, literally, by popping my O'Brother bluegrass tape in the player, turn it up so loud it makes the hounds holler and dance to the music. It's time for these Bullies of mine to get up off their lazy behinds and do the Bully Butt Wiggle with me. Hope you have a wonderful day!!! - Judy PS Description of a Bully Butt Wiggle Their posture becomes stiffer than normal with a firm wide stance, kinda bouncing on the balls of their feet, the tail starts to move, then the hips engage totally and starts moving with joy, total happiness takes over, spreading the wiggle down to their feet, the English Bulldog Butt Wiggle has begun.... Friday - 01/27/06 Noon Thailand Medical Evaluation - I got the application for my passport yesterday while I was out. This morning I talked with my friends about making travel arrangements as soon as we actually get our passports. We're thinking it will be the first of April. Meanwhile, I've got some other medical options to explore in regard to my neck, but definitely want a full evaluation in Thailand. Bob and I decided my neck problem could very well be the direct result of me having fallen so many times. I can't regain my balnce with the right foot if I slip, stumble or trip over one of these critters. I need to have the foot evaluated, perhaps there is a new procedure which will help to restore my ability to balance. [Foot was broken in 3 places several years ago.] BUT my heart smiled this morning when I saw the Red-Headed Woodpeckers have returned. Just the other day we were wondering where they were. Also the Cardinals are back perching near the back porch, looking for tasty morsels I throw out for them, spilled or left over dog food, and when they think we're not looking they steal food from the yard dog's food pan. May you receive as many "smiles" as you give today and have a Wonderful Weekend. - Judy Thursday - 01/26/06 6:00 PM Didn't mean to worry you all by not posting. As you can imagine I have a heavy heart about Lynne, Cherry and many other things. On a positive note, I did discover that if I cry a lot it lowers my blood pressure. I put a kink in my back this morning so I spent the afternoon, walking it off... SHOPPING!!! Not for anything exciting, just Bob's meds plus groceries, etc. Oh and I got the stupid deer, which come to the back porch, "feed bread" from the bakery outlet store. Before you think it, yes I'm spoiling the silly things and they will eat my small garden this summer. They'll probably like the taste of my Brugs also, but that is when I'll have to teach them some manners. The deer feeding was an accident. I kept noticing something big was eating the cat's dry food and it kept knocking the bowl onto the floor. I feed them 4 feet high on the back porch so the dogs won't eat the food. We would hear strange noises but by the time we got there the "yard dogs" had chased off whatever it was. I told Bob whatever was eating their food was a big, heavy thing because it had move the heavy, heavy saw on a stand thingee where I put the food. Then we saw them, running away from the house late one night as we were returning home. Since then I try to throw them bread out into the yard so they will stay off the porch. [I just read the deer part, I bet it sounds awfully weird to anyone living in the city.] Have a good night and a wonderful tomorrow. - Judy Tuesday - 01/24/06 2:30 PM I got a telephone call from my friend Lynne, who lives in NY,... the doctors found small tumors in her other lung. The one lung had collapsed in upon itself and was full of fluid . She said she didn't have much longer to live and she could accept that, just wanted the time left to be quality time. Gracious I've been crying ever since I hung up the phone, but I am so glad she was able to call me herself. - Judy Tuesday - 01/24/06 Noon We took Reba & Peanut's puppies to the vet yesterday for their Well Puppy Physicals and to have Cherry Pie's rather large umbilical hernia repaired. Dr Jerry found she has a heart murmur. I've only had one other in the 17 years I've been breeding Bullies. I had expensive tests run by a specialist and was told he would outgrow it at about 6 months... he didn't. He died at 1 1/2 years old. Do you remember Count? We elected not to place Count (free) to anyone because we didn't want them to have their hearts broken in case he died... I am so thankful for that decision, since he died young. We loved him one day at a time but it didn't ease the pain of his passing.
We went ahead with the operation on Cherry's hernia although it was high
risk, but of course they didn't put her way under. She was really in pain
and cried, so I rocked her and rocked her and rocked her. I even ended up
giving her a tiny tiny bit of wine to calm her and reduce the pain. I bawled
like a baby for about 3 hours, rocking and crying for both Cherry and Count.
Tuesday - 01/24/06 10:00 AM There is too much going on here..........
- My friend Lynne who is battling cancer was back in the hospital to have fluid drained from
her lungs, I have been worried to the point that it has been a great distraction. Yesterday
her Mother-In-Law told me she is expected to be released today, WHEW!!- My health is a long story but my doctor has referred me to a Sports Doctor the objective being a possible neck epidural since I am unable to take pain medication, the pain is causing headaches and high blood pressure. Before this can be accomplish several tests are necessary but since I don't have insurance I have to be able to pay in advance for all tests (x-rays, blood workup, MRI etc.) and the procedure which will run into thousands with no assurance that I will find relief. To this end we bred the female Bullies who have come into heat lately.. normally 1 out of 3 breedings take, but every breeding has produced puppies. Some would take it as a sign that the Good Lord was assisting in resolving the financial issue, but the work involved could kill me before I can have the medical work completed (just a little added drama here lol). Logical or not, I've been investigating alternatives to using my credit cards for this purpose. I'm in the process of making plans to join a medical evaluation tour to Bangkok, Thailand thanks to the generous $$$$ travel expense offer of dear friends. It's a long story but a dear friend of theirs had a back operation in Thailand in December, was totally impressed with the hospital and staff, even sent me pictures of the hospital and surrounding area. He swears he is a new man. His total medical costs were $5,000 compared to the $35,000 estimated costs for the surgery here in the States. He went to a couple of US surgeons for evaluation before making this decision. Thailand Info Part 2 to this saga hopefully later today... Judy Monday - 01/23/06 10:30 AM What a yucky, rainy day!!! Most of 'our gang' will not go out in the rain to potty so I'm holding off feeding them this morning until the rain stops. We've got a full schedule and the forecast for this weekend is RAIN, Friday - Sunday!!! I'm thinking I should postpone Reba's Puppy Pick up until the next weekend, but I'll think more on that today. We get so far behind in our chores when it rains that we just might not be able to manage A Puppy Pick Up Party for this coming weekend. Please be patient in regard to responses to your emails, I have a mail box stuffed full. Later, puppies are calling.... - Judy Sunday - 01/22/06 1:00 PM There's always something going on around here to distract us ....Kate, one of the old gals, decided to follow the yard-dogs off I suppose. When we started calling her, t hey got in their "den" and were laying low. They knew they were in trouble for losing the "big girl" AGAIN. We spent a very frantic hour searching, blowing whistles and calling her name. It started back raining, so I knew if she was close at hand she would come on in, she hates foul weather. Finally I heard what I thought was her bark over in the woods behind the neighbor's house about half mile down the road, they have a barn so my guess was she had duck in there to get out of the rain. Bob got in the van to go see while I tooted my whistle to lead her home. In just a few moments Bob was back with Kate in the van. He met her come out of the woods on the deer trail. You should have seen her, sticking right to Bob while he moved around the kitchen. Obviously she was wanting to tell of her exploits so I made up one for her.... "we went to see the donkey and he's OK, but he's got a temper if you play in his hay ...." Have a good day - Judy Friday - 01/19/06 6:00 PM I'm alive.... I got locked out of the house for 2 hours or so on Wednesday and like a fool spent the time doing lots of things I'm not suppose to do because of my neck. Got up yesterday not feeling too well and today has been a bust... but I'll get better. I'm a tough old bird!!! Wednesday - 01/18/06 10:00 AM All of a sudden a few days ago, Jelly (cleft palate Bully) decided it is time to return to the house. She followed Bob down from his shop and when he returned she didn't. She sat down on the porch about 4 feet from the back door and stared into the house, as only Jelly can. I opened the door, she walked in, I laid an old comforter on the floor for a bed and there she's been since. That little freaky girl is so funny, yet so pitiful. She blows food, water and mucus out her nose because the passageway is still open. I don't think there is anyone else in the world who would put up with the mess, it's gross, but she's a happy, loving, little thing. Then I let Noel (one-eyed puppy) out in the same area, immediately she grabbed hold of Jelly's tongue, which hangs out about 2 inches and would not let go so Bob made her, then she was being ever so bad, biting Jelly's leg, etc. Jelly pinned her down, but instead of letting Jelly teach her some manners, Bob put Noel up. So here I am thinking, Noel a regular little monster. We've never had one to act like her maybe she has brain damage when that cyst erupted. The next day I convinced Bob that Jelly wasn't going to hurt her (the worst thing Jelly could do would be give her a tongue lashing.. I can't believe I'm making fun of Jelly's tongue) and all it took was Jelly, flipping her over on her back and growling in her face. Noel now knows she's not boss!! Tuesday - 01/17/06 11:00 PM Bob jumped the gun on me and uploaded the new pictures early this afternoon. People who have been on my Waiting List for some time wanted to reserve puppies and I allowed them to do so. We only have two puppies available at this time. If you have been approved for a puppy and want to make a $100 deposit to reserve one, send me an email and I will let you know if the pup is available. - Judy Tuesday - 01/17/06 4:00 AM Here are the picture of Sweetie Pie & Jazzman's babies. I will post more pictures late tomorrow and began to accept deposits on Thursday Click Here For Details
Mr Big Stuff is such a sweetheart but he growled at the vet tech during his 2003 breeding
session therefore we haven't bred him since. Maybe that was due to the
"situation" but I think he's protective and a one/two person dog, because he glares at
other people when I have him on a lead and his mother is protective of her family.
I made a decision today to breed him to the next female coming into heat and if they produces pups
to sell them as "self protection dogs". People are buying "vicious" dogs for protection because the world
has gone so crazy. Those vicious type dogs are fighting dogs not dogs to be allowed to be in
our society. I understand the need but think is so wrong.
Mr Big is not vicious but would scare the dickens out of anyone just by the way he looks at
them, plus he has a low growl which would warn people to back off.
The only thing is, my females are such wiggle butt friendly dogs, that the pups might not take after Mr Big (none of the pups he sired have been that way so...) Bob said you'll have a 80 lb wiggle butts who will slobber all over people instead of warning them not to come near. lol lol Click Here for Mr Big Stuff's puppy pictures and his parents pictures. His father weighed 80 lbs!!! Monday - 01/16/06 5:00 AM
To: PeanutSent: Sunday, 01/15/06 10:43 PM Subject: Happy Birthday Peanut and Bronson Jan. 16th, Your and Bronson's big day!!! Bronson and Alec are having two friends spend the night to celebrate Bronson's 11th birthday. We just made ice cream sundaes! Tell Bob to give you a scoop of something wonderful Judy has made! You deserve it! Just the other night Scott was talking to the boys about the first time we saw you. Poor little puppy, but look at you now! We all love you so much Mr. Peanut. Your forever buddies, Scott, Susie, Bronson and Alec Sunday - 01/15/06 6:00 AM Last week while rushing to take Sweetie Pie to the vet's for a c-section, I noticed Bob had on my t-shirt. Most t-shirts are unisex, but this one was pink. I said, "Bobby men don't wear pink t-shirts, to which he replied, "I'm 69 years old and I can wear what I want, look at what it says." I knew, "I Improve With Age". He bought the shirt for me when we visited CA because he had been offered a high level computer software development managerial position. All I could think of when we were there is "Lord, please get me back to TN to "our gang" and I'll try not to bother you again. Saturday - 01/14/06 Noon Sweetie Pie is doing great!! She has a little cough once in a great while so she's almost recovered. Here are some pictures I took of Reba's babies. I was alerted by the glass jars clinking together, that something was amiss. Poor Oaty was left out of these pictures I'll try to get some more pictures of all of them tomorrow.
Saturday - 01/14/06 8:30 AM Dog Gone!!! I started a diet with a goal of losing 15 lbs. I've lost 5 lb so I'm feeling good about this diet. Half awake this morning I went into the kitchen, fixed my coffee with sugar & cream and had the last bite of the cherry filled pastry between my thumb and forefinger when I realized I had just blown my DIET!!! What a heck of a way to wake up!!! Hope you have a wonderful, productive day!! I have to work off the sugar in my coffee and the pastry. - Judy Friday - 01/13/06 6:30 AM I appreciate all the caring emails I received yesterday.... I kept taking deep breaths while tears slip from my eyes, finally the tears stopped. Meanwhile I scrubbed the stove, swept floors and shook my head at all the cleaning I needed to do. I stayed home with Sweetie Pie and pups, while Bob took Noel, the one-eyed Bully pup, to the vet yesterday. Her right ankle was getting weak, she wouldn't take Pet-Cal and I was greatly concerned about the possibility of another cyst. Dr. Frank said she would be just fine, no cyst. He suggested crushing the correct dose of Pet-Cal and sprinkle it on her food or mix it on something she would eat. After he got home Bob found she is a "peanut butter kind of girl" so that problem should be fix in a few days. I'm so glad that worry if off my mind. It was so disheartening to find that all the Brugmansia plants I have in the house, had gotten Spider Mites, warm moist conditions cause the mites to hatch out. I think they must be in the soil. Since I can't abide by the idea of using an insect spray in the house I had a choice of asking Bob to take all those big heavy pots outside to be sprayed, then bring them back inside or just take them out and dump them. While cleaning out from under the sink, I found a granular product that has since been removed from the market by EPA because it was being used in an unsafe manner. I put on a dust mask to sprinkle it into the soil and was so relieved that there was enough for all inside brugs. Hopefully the Mites will be "gone" in a few days. Oh, I drenched one of the small Brugs with the monthly dog heart wormer I mix up which contains Ivomectin. I researched the internet and found that Ivomectin is the same ingredient, different name, used in a very high $$$ Spider Mite insecticide, so this is an interesting experiment. May this day bring you happiness - Judy Thursday - 01/12/06 6:30 AM I'm a mature woman who knows how to handle life. I decide I'm going to be strong rise above the emotions and go forth.... that is until I found a dead bird and I broke down into body shaking sobbing. I cried for all the animals I've had in my 60 years who have died and I cried for Sweetie Pie's puppy, Nicky, Noel, Jelly, Jeb, Big Red cause he loves me but he ain't right, for Bob because he's carrying such a heavy load and I cried becuase it seems I always have something wrong with me. All this because there was a dead Wren in my flower bed. I don't think I'm so mature after all. - Judy Wednesday - 01/11/06 10:30 AM Buffalo Wings cooking in the oven, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher are all loaded and going strong!! Whew!! I decided to take a break. Sweetie Pie's 5 babies (3M & 2F) are doing well. Sweetie Pie is having a harder time recovering than any of the other Bully Mamas, but her situation was far more serious. She was so uncomfortable she didn't get much sleep the week before the puppies were born, so I think she's just catching up, but if there isn't a big improvement by in the morning we're taking her to the vet. Ever once in a while she coughs like she has something caught in her throat, which is really bothering me. She didn't have an air tube inserted for the c-section so I am perplexed. For those of you who are not familiar with the breeding and birthing process, here is the link to a webpage Bob created documenting Smart Cookie & Mini-E Litter AI to C-section Tuesday - 01/10/06 10:30 AM We lost Sweetie Pie's dark female puppy. I noticed when reviving them that she would gasp for air then would breath normally. I watched her for a long time afterward and thought she was breathing fine. We can only assume she had another of those spasms while we were taking a nap and didn't survive. The first week is critical but the first three days are normally the time for losing the weak pups. Bob was second guessing himself, but I very strongly told him, "better now if it had to happen, than after we had gotten attached to it". The older they are the more it hurts. We're going to take a deep breath and keep on going. No time to sit and mourn, the other critters need us!! Tuesday - 01/10/06 5:00 AM Good Morning!!! I went to bed early last night to get over whatever "bug" I'm getting. I'm sure Bob is hopeful that I will be charging around like my normal self this morning, but I think it's going to take more than one night's sleep to catch up on all the sleep we've lost the last week worrying about Sweetie Pie. However the glands in my neck are no longer bulging like they were last night, so I am much better. Bob is having a problem getting one of Sweetie's little girls to nurse, it could mean that we will lose her. I'll keep you updated. I hope you will have a good day and you are able to "walk on the sunny side of life". - Judy Monday - 01/09/06 Noon I took medicine and went to bed late yesterday afternoon; earache, headache and heavy feeling in my chest. Got back up etc, then when we finally went to bed, Bob was up every hour to see about Sweetie Pie. If him getting in and out of bed didn't wake me up, the smell of the hamburgers he cooked for he and Sweetie and then his fitful sleeping did. I was awake at 5 AM but just laid in bed for an hour, too tired..... We were rushing to get our gang fed and walked when all of a sudden Bob stopped and stared at Sweetie. I ask why and he said "she has that look". We could never describe "that look" but there definitely is one. Bob again took her temperature and as he suspected it was going down. The reading was 98.3F which means she's going into labor .... show time!!! The vet's office was full at 8:30 AM and since we weren't in an emergency situation we waited with Sweetie Pie in the parking lot until the other customers was serviced. She had 9 puppies but 3 were water babies therefore I did not attempt to revive (normally they live less than 24 hours). We have 3 males and 3 females. 5 of the 6 are predominately white. Unfortunately the litter was too large causing her uterus to be stretched too tight and tore in several places. Dr Jerry advised not to breed her again and asked if we wanted to go ahead and spay her. We decided against it because there was the possibility that she would cease having milk for these babies. Now I really am exhausted..... - Judy Sunday - 01/08/06 4:00 PM Beth, please forgive me for what I am about to do... you live close to me and you are the most considerated of people. You and I have emailed back and forth about Nicky and the deformed penis. I feel Nicky is a female although the links you have sent me would indicate she is a male. She is wonderful, such a sweet loving baby. There are only two people in this world that I would trust with this baby, you and Nan, our friend who was so instrumental in Jeb's recovery. I know you have experienced some heartbreaking situations with your Bullies and I do not want to add to your load, but she's so sweet. If you are willing to take her, you can bring her back to me at anytime, should the burden be too much.
Sunday - 01/08/06 10:00 AM
Day 60 for Sweetie Pie!! She wouldn't eat canned puppy food this morning so Bob took her
temperature to see if she was going into labor. It wasn't low so that meant I needed to
find something she would eat. She no longer wants pork liver. The "strays that came to
stay" and "cats someone threw away" had soaked Purina Puppy Chow with liver gravy for
supper last night. One sniff and a big burp was all it took for her to decide she wasn't
going to eat it.When I cooked scrambled eggs for our breakfast this morning I tossed in a couple of extras just in case she wanted them... bingo, she smelled them cooking and started to lick her lips. She could hardly wait for them to cool off. I hope you are having a peaceful day - Judy Saturday - 01/07/06 10:00 AM Day 59 for Sweetie Pie!! Some puppies can live at 59 days, but her pups may have been conceived in the 5 day span between breedings so it's still touch and go. To feel comfortable about the pups chance to live we need 4 more days minimum. We're near exhaustion - Judy
Friday - 01/06/06 9:00 PM Day 58 for Sweetie Pie!! I've made my 1 1/2 hr round trip and got right at 38 lbs of pork livers. I cooked up 15 lbs today!!! The butcher shop thought I was a crazy old woman, I could tell by the way the person taking the order kept making confirmation statements, like $'s worth instead of lbs. So I started all over and told him I wanted 6 pork livers, he said 6 whole livers? to which I responded "Yes" to which he responded $6 worth, back to that again. After he got the 6 and weighed them I ask how much they weighed. he responded 13.10, that to be how much they cost, so I said how much do they weigh, he said he didn't weight them that was how much they were. My brain was trying so hard to divide $13.10 by $.59 and decided it must be about 22 lbs, So I said give me 4 more, his eyes really bugged out then.. Not knowing how much each liver would weigh I guessed that would get me close to 40 lbs, actually it was 37.63. Once I got home I decided I should have just asked for 40 lbs of pork livers period since I was having such a time with the man he probably would have passed out, but maybe not....... Next time I'm going to march in and say "40 pounds of pork livers, not sliced" in a very high loud voice and hope someone understands. ... Sweetie is a brat, she made me hand-fed her bite size pieces of liver. She's doing better, ate well tonight one bite at a time. Bob giving her a vitamin shot last night and the pork liver did the trick. Whew, hopefully I can get some sleep tonight. We're about to take a nap, hope you are having a good night. - Judy Thursday - 01/05/06 7:00 PM I'm trying everything in the house to get Sweetie to eat; chicken, tuna, sardines, and we can just totally forget her eating canned puppy food ... finally I pull out the liver cheese. Scoffed it down, she did!!! I fed her half the package and Bob will feed her the other half in the middle of the night. I hated for her to eat it, due to the sodium, but she had to eat something, anything. First thing in the morning, I'm off to get 40 lbs of pork livers, that should hold us for awhile. - Judy Thursday - 01/05/06 1:30 PM Good Afternoon!!! Sweetie Pie has made it to day 57!! Bob very seldom "insists" about anything, but he was very serious about not wanting me to sleep with Sweetie Pie last night, instead he got her to sleep then checked on her every 2 hours. She's a little better today, but still requiring hand-feeding, she says she just can't get down to the food, so Bob is holding both water and food dishes where she can eat or drink without getting up. She only gets up to go on potty break.
I'm off to get more work accomplished. I hope you are having a good day. - Judy Wednesday - 01/04/06 7:30 PM Oh My!!! I'm being pulled ever which way; family, friends, Bully owners and those wanting one of the pups, BUT the very first priority has to be Sweet Tater Pie. This is her 56th day of pregnancy from her first of three breedings, gestation is 63 days. Her first litter we lost all 10 puppies because she went into labor early, they were not developed enough to live. She is trying to do that again and we feel she is going to have that many pups or more this time. We took her in to Dr Frank today.. she has started to dialate but only barely, he gave her a calcium shot because I asked him to do so .. she isn't eating much at all, has diarrhea and won't take her calcium pills. He has his cell phone on and will meet us whenever we need him. Meanwhile I snatched the feather comforter off the bed because it made a nice cushioned bed for her, put it in a kiddy pool and she wanted in. Bob had to lift her over the edge and then lay down with her for about 30 minutes, until she drifted off to sleep. She is so very pitiful... it would make you cry. She has gained so much weight that her bottom eye lids are rolling inward, irritating her eyes. I told Dr Frank when she had the c-section we needed to do a eye-tuck in case this ever happened again.... our poor baby girl. I'm sure there are many females out there who can relate. She reminds me of my friend who had twins!! I'm off to sleep with Sweetie Pie... I won't be able to move tomorrow!!!- Judy Tuesday - 01/03/06 8:00 AM I spent yesterday buying dog food and other supplies. I believe this is the first time I have driven in 4 months or longer. The spiking blood pressure with the bad headaches and then the new medicine concerned me in relation to driving, so poor Bob has had to do all. It feels good to be confident of my ability to drive the van and to go shopping alone again. I really am feeling much better. Now to catch up on all my work. Hope you have a good day. - Judy These pictures were taken December 28, 2005 when she was six months old.

Her father's genes combined with her mother's gave her the classic English bulldog look. But, she inherited her smarts from her mother. She was potty trained in ONE session and seldom has any accidents. Does she come when I call? Well, yes if she is done playing with the cat... - Bob Monday - 01/02/06 6:00 AM Jeb (Miss B's & Pepper Jack's 7/28/02 Litter) went to his new home in NY and there sustained a spinal injury. The injury was consistent with a "sit down injury", probably when he was climbing their deck stairs (snow/ice) on his way back in from a potty break. When they called me, they said he went out to potty and when he came back in he had no control over his hindquarter. Three NY vets recommended he be "putting down". When we got him back 'home' 7 weeks later, he was flat on the floor pulling himself around by his front paws, notice they are splayed as a result. Bob, following Nan our friend's directions, started to work to re-establish the connection between his hindquarter and his brain. Our vets didn't give us much hope since it had been so long since the initial injury. Bob worked almost non-stop with Jeb massaging, giving physical therapy, special vitamin and mineral supplements, etc. On day 10, Bob carried Jeb out to potty and Jeb tried to walk... tears of happiness were flowing. Within weeks, he had recovered 90% of his former mobility. That was 2 years ago this month. Here he is today......
Regardless of if your Bully came from me or not, don't follow the recommendation of a Vet to have it "put down" until you at least talk to me about the situation. ![]() A cyst erupted behind her eye. - Judy Friday - 12/30/05 9:00 PM Noel, our little one-eyed monster, got her nose thumped by Bob because she was being defiant, she knew she shouldn't bite his hand, when he told her "no" she stopped, looked at him and commenced to do it even harder with those sharp baby teeth of hers, therefore he thumped her nose. We nip undesirable behavior in the bud around here regardless of the situation. Now she will put her teeth ever so gently on you but she doesn't press hard. Good Girl!!! At Walmart I bought a stuffed toy in the form of a Penguin which has a pressure activated voice box. When it got dirty, I removed the box, put it aside and tossed the stuffed toy in the washing machine. Somehow the voice box got into the crate with Noel and she loves to make it talk. All day and all night the voice comes on saying "Cute & Cuddle Boys, Cute & Cuddle, or Ice Cold Sushi For Breakfast". At first the adult Bullies barked at the unknown voice but now they totally ignore it. Too funny!!! - Judy Friday - 12/30/05 8:00 PM Lord Have Mercy!!! I got a call from a man today who sent $850 to scammer "Bill". When he called the airline that he was given as the method of transportation they told him they do not transport live animals from Nigeria. I added his information to the complaint I filed. Julio and I dug ditches today... well honestly he dug and I used my "ditch-eye" to tell him where he needed to level it off or dig a little deeper. Digging a ditch is not as easy as it sounds.... I couldn't resist putting my hands on the hoe several times, so now I'm so grouchy I've warned wonderful Bob not to even try to carry on a conversation. I just thought my everything hurt... I hurt in places I didn't know I had. I'm off to bed now.... I've got to shake the dust off my tail feathers in the morning and get lots of stuff accomplished. Have a wonderful weekend. - Judy Thursday - 12/29/05 8:00 PM The above Fraud Alert is what I spent the afternoon doing, tracking down the information to file a complaint, etc. Thanks to Nona for alerting me to what she found. Thursday - 12/29/05 9:00 AM A good part of this morning has been spent teaching Reba's babies how to eat mushy food. She is wanting to spend less time with them and more time with me in the kitchen. They now have their eyes open and when I rush to their rescue upon hearing a sharp cry, growl or bark, it's because they are learning to walk but are getting frustrated when they trip over their own feet, their legs slid out from under them or a wrinkle in the bedding causes them to fall face forward. They look like they are inebriated/drunk. Hope you enjoy these pictures. For all 33 pictures click here and scroll down to about the middle of the page. - Judy ![]()
