Click Here For More Pictures At Judy's Garden Party!! The Best To You In 2006!!!I've woke up with some ideas on how to improve the website also contemplating making it two websites; one for "our gang" and the other for information. If we go to two websites, it will be awhile before we can schedule the rewrite. Reba's puppies are doing fine. The female with the torn umbilical cord went back to the vet yesterday to determine if stitches were needed, Dr Frank said he thought it best not to unless it got worse. Bob is up with them still every 2 hours but he'll probably stretch that out to 3 hours today. I have at least a million things I need to catch up on doing, but feeding and cleaning the puppies is keeping me really busy. Reba is demanding Pig Liver, that sounds so much more gross than Pork Liver. Sassy T her Grandmother use to do the same thing to me when she had a litter of puppies, except Sassy took it a step further and made me hand feed her... she would look up at me, make Bully talkin sounds to get my attention and lick her lips. When I gave her a bowl of food in the puppy pool, she would look down at the "babies" like if I move it will disturb them, so I would give in and fed her one bite at a time out of a spoon. She had me well trained. English Bulldog Puppy For Sale Internet Ad Fraud Alert.... I'm getting calls and emails from people who have made deposits of $300 via Western Union to a scam artist who is using pictures of my puppies. What I've been able to detect so far is the man is from Nigeria, Africa, has California or Florida displayed on his cell phone. I'm advising these people to report the situation to the Internet Fraud Dept of the United States Government. It seems that after they make the deposit they happen upon my website site and see the same pictures as in the ad then they are calling me. Naturally they are in shock when they realize what has happened to them, some I don't think realize it until they actually talk to me. I don't know what he told them that caused them to believe they could get a $1500 puppy for $600.I'm off to take care of the puppies I hear one crying.- Judy Wednesday - 12/14/05 10:10 PM Song: Rudolph (sung by Gene Autry) MissB & Jazzman Male Puppy DOB 10/31/05 AKC, $1500, Release Date 12/24 willing to keep until after Christmas, but can't release before 24th. It took a long time for me to get as low as I was, so it's going to take time to crawl back out of this hole but I'm doing it. The deep healing sleep I'm able to get with the new medicine I do believe is healing my neck. Wednesday - 12/14/05 2:40 AM (Up With Pups) Here PuppyGal goes again.... Tuesday - 12/13/05 4:20 AM We're up with puppies, Bob is watching over them while they nurse and I'm trying to upload pictures. The website server was trying to implement new features and in the process discovered they are adversely affecting some websites..PuppyGal being one of them. So we're down but hopefully will be back up soon.- Judy Monday - 12/12/05 7:21 PM Sad News!!! We lost one of Reba's puppies just now, the biggest female. She was nursing when Bob noticed she was doing so, much less aggressively than the other pups, a little later her snout turned pale and it wasn't long before she had what looked to be heart failure. At times like this, I just have to remind myself that it's better that it happens NOW than later after we are so attached, or God Forbid after she had gone to her new home. The first 3 days are critical. If they make it the first week most generally they will survive. Monday - 12/12/05 7:11 AM Oh My, I have an apology to make... Daphne who had Ruby reserved and was supposed to have gotten her Saturday, called me Friday in the middle of me rushing to get the puppies fed. I missed her name but when she said we had "talked" about her getting Ruby, I concluded she was another lady, so I told her Ruby had been reserved. Oops!! Daphne called this morning and finally got through to my foggy brain what had happened. If all goes well she will get Ruby tonight, if we can get some rest between now and then. Monday - 12/12/05 7:11 AM We're exhausted this morning. We're going to do the minimum of morning chores and then it's back to bed for a nap. Hope your week starts off right and stays that way. - Judy Sunday - 12/11/05 6:30 AM We're extremely tired this morning!! The puppies are doing great, Reba is a protective Mama. She got into the pool with Miss B's babies, however once hers were put with her she didn't even want Bob holding Gooey Cookie as he sat beside the pool with her. I was about to drop last night when I sat down to updated everyone on the new puppies and when I read Dorothy's email, below, Bob thought I had finally lost my mind, I laughted so hard. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Bob is going to Dyersburg, TN to meet Jerimiah's new Papa. He is to be here by 1 PM so we have lots to do before then. - Judy From: "Dorothy" Sent: Saturday, December 10, 2005 3:45 PM Comments: " Trying to work by candle light, heating day old coffee in a pan on the gas stove while rushing ..." For the love of Mike woman, I'm not letting this one go by! Hie yee to the internet, Buck Snort, or wherever and goodness gracious get yourself a cowboy coffee pot. You remember what a coffee pot is. You put coffee grounds in, fill it with water, put the lid on and set it on the stove. Tastes so much better than a fancy schmancy office lady coffee maker. I had accumulated three coffee makers believe it or not and have given them all to shelters. After decades of working in sky scrapers I can't stand coffee maker coffee. You can go to this Coleman site, for instance: http://www.coleman.com/coleman/ColemanCom/subcategory.asp?CategoryID=5180 Get a speckled ware one or click on the nice "stainless steel 12 cup". Now, that's the ticket. Use it a week, break it in. You can put the coffee and water in a night and first thing, you hit the cold kitchen floor in the moring you can turn on the burner. (My mother did that. The last thing before going to bed, she'd fix the coffee pot.) You'll never go back. True, you can't just load it up and disappear. But I think the quality, aromoa, and DEPENDABILITY is wonderful. Even if you just put in in the junk hole to pull out for emergencies. While you are looking at it, look down at the bottom of the page and pick up that "camp stove toaster" too. It's only $3. I have one. You prop you bread or pop tarts on that thing and make toast on the stove slick as a whistle. Hot cowboy coffee and toast with jelly is good by candle light. Or lantern light. Or sunlight. That is real soul food. Camp stove toaster: http://www.coleman.com/coleman/ColemanCom/detail.asp?product_id=807B723T Gosh, I've sold myself! I'm going to the kitchen and make some right now for this cold Saturday........ Saturday - 12/10/05 7:30 AM
This day refused to let go of us.... after Bob got back from Buck Snort, Tiffany loved
Sweet William by the way, he walked Reba. Oh no, she upchucked all the food I had gotten
her to eat this morning (chicken, scrambled eggs, canned puppy food) to prove she wasn't
going to go into labor while Bob was gone. Upchucking is the same as not eating when you're talking
about signs that a Bully is going into labor. Reba, WAIT!! She started panting so we hurriedly
took her temperature and it was 100.1, going down from this morning so it is SHOW TIME. Bless
Doctor Frank when I called and said, we've got one going into labor, he said what time. We quickly
loaded the van with supplies and I grabbed corn dogs from the freezer, because we hadn't eaten. We meet him at 4:30 and about 30 minutes later had 6 beautiful puppies. A friend of his was there with his little girl and Dr Frank's 5 year old son. They watched the first part of the operation, then
I allowed them to "help me" revive the puppies. Afterward when all the babies were crying,
I let them sit in a chair and hold one. I much rather trust a kid than an adult with a
newborn puppy. Kids know to be careful, some adults you can't tell anything. Afterward I
nuked the corn dogs for the kids, smeared one with mustard and one with catsup. Just before the
started to devour them, I let them
hold a puppy while Dr Frank took pictures with his cell phone camera.
On the way home there was a roadblock, by the Middleton, TN police and we were informed
that the Christmas parade was about to start... there was no way around the Hwy. We showed him
the newly born pups and told him we needed to get home ASAP, so at the
end of the parade behind the John Deere Tractor, horses, donkeys and police car we followed, waving to all the
onlookers just like we had planned
our adventure. It took an hour for the parade doings to end and us to get home.
The babies, 3 males and 3 females, are beautiful. The only one we are concerned about is a male whose
umbilical cord got torn during the c-section. We have a ton of chores we must do before we can
lay down for a nap. - JudySaturday - 12/10/05 10:30 AM This has been one crazy morning. Just as we were trying to make ourselves get out of the warm bed at 5:15, the electricity went off. I placed a service call to the nicest lady who informed me that a house fire had caused the power company to shut down electricity in our area. Additional manpower was on the way to assist and it shouldn't be too long before it was restored. Trying to work by candle light, heating day old coffee in a pan on the gas stove while rushing to get 'our gang' in and out of the house to potty but unable to see if their bedding needed to be changed or not, is so disorienting. Then the puppies started squealing for food and were getting cold. The bigger pups I tossed dry food and put MissB with her pups for food and warmth. The electric doggie heat pad in with the little guys was of no use, nor were the snuggle safe disk since we couldn't heat them in the microwave, bright idea heat water on the stove, pour it in the sink over the disks and let them sit until they were hot. No guess we better not to be on the safe side. We worked as best we could holding the bigger puppies under our sweatshirts until around 9 AM, when the electricity came back on. Thank You, Thank You. Electric power employees surely have my respect. I believe I lost all the plants on the porch because it was 19 degrees outside and the porch temperature dropped very fast when the electricity went off. The leaves are all curled and wilted looking. BUT plants can be replaced, puppies can't. Humans have to learn to roll with the punches or have a heart attack. I'm not having a heart attack over plants, although it does make me sad, especially after all the work we did to get them ready for winter. Hindsight is good.. today Bob is getting a kerosene heater and maybe a generator, depending up size and price. People never cease to amaze me!!! A lady whom I had approved for a puppy sent an email Thursday night saying she wanted Ruby Begonia and asked if I wanted her to make a deposit or just pay in full Saturday morning, she wanted to get Ruby as early as possible. I responded to her email, asking if 9 AM was too early, noted that Ruby was "reserved", etc. Meanwhile I got a call from another lady to whom I had spoken with last week in regard to Ruby, wanting to know if she was still available, I told her "no". Ooops, I never heard from the "I want to pick her up Saturday morning" Lady again after having told two other people that Ruby was reserved. I have to stop trying to be nice because the true test of sincerity is making the deposit. I'm off to finish the morning chores, Bob has left to meet Tiffany in Buck Snort,TN for her to get Sweet William. Have a GOOD weekend!!! - Judy Friday - 12/09/05 11:30 AM Dog Gone, it got cold here last night!! It was 23F when we were up with puppies at 2:30 AM. Other than getting up with puppies, I slept like a Bulldog, deep, snoring sleep. lol [Delta, stage 4 sleep, the "healing" phase of sleep where repair of bodily tissues takes place] I'm getting better daily, but Bob said me arguing with myself was annoying. (snicker, snicker) Can you tell I'm in a silly, happy mood?? It surely feels good to be teasing with Bob once again. Tomorrow Sweet William and Ruby Begonia will be going to their new homes. Jerimiah's new Papa will get him on Sunday. I woke up this morning with Bob putting him in the bed with me to snuggle. Have a wonderful weekend - Judy ... Jerimiah was a Bulldog, he was a good friend of mine... Thursday - 12/08/05 5:30 AM
Sad news, Ernie the stray killed and partially ate the crazy hen/chicken who had taken up residence with Big Red.
Needless to say poor Bob was really upset when he saw Ernie dragging her body around.
He liked that crazy
ole chicken and the situation with she and Big Red kept us laughing. Ernie has been getting more aggressive with the other "strays that came to stay" over food, although there is always two dishpans full available. Within the last two weeks I've had to break up three fights. Heard them on the back porch and I started screaming before I even got out the door which broke them up. It's time for Ernie to leave. He just showed up here the middle of September in pitiful physical shape. He's looking good now, I've taught him manners and he is a sweet natured dog, except for food. I suspect he didn't get enough to eat at some point in his life. I'm going to take him to the vet's and give a $ reward to whomever working there can place him. Hopefully I will be posting puppies pictures later today. - Judy Wednesday - 12/07/05 10:00 AM I'm on my way again.... my doctor suggest I try a drug that blocks pain messages to the brain in hopes that it would relieve the high blood pressure and inflammation .... I had my first dose yesterday afternoon and I'm please with the results. No allergic reaction, I slept for 8 hrs something I have not been able to do because my neck would start hurting and I'm able to do my chores by myself for the first time in a month. Prior Bob was having to assist me. I'm taking it easy so I won't overdo, but I am so excited!!! I hope you have a wonderful day. - Judy Tuesday - 12/06/05 7:30 AM I'm so excited and hopeful due to my doctor's appointment yesterday with my prior primary health care provider (3 hour round trip). I was hopeful that he would remember me but realistic in that they see so many patients that he might not. Bless his heart he did, he did and not only that but remembered much of my history. (My records are with the group with which he is no longer affiliated.) He is referring me to a doctor who specializes in injury/sports medicine for additional tests and treatment for the arthritis in my neck. He explained there are several treatment options availablble without me taking medicine internally, which I can't do. I was wearing a top like the one in the above picture, because anything else causes my neck to start up. He appreciated my wit when I told him I couldn't wear clothes and it's winter, plus the inability to wear clothes limits one's social life. He said we better get me fixed up quickly. I feel silly now about the possibility of cancer, however once you have cancer you just get paranoid. Problem resolution is the high priority for the coming weeks. - Judy Monday - 12/05/05 7:30 AM I believe in miracles through prayer, positive thoughts and caring friends. I would appreciate prayers and positive thoughts for later in the week that the doctors will be able to give me definitive information in regard to my health issues. Being a two time cancer survivor, this is pretty stressful for me. I want to know but if it's cancer again I'll have some heavy decisions to make. I'm not likely to opt for treatments which could cause the quality of life I have left to be less than what it is now. I want to go out of this world doing the Bully Butt Wiggle with 'our gang'!! OK "gang" Dixie Pie you can be Rudolph and guide our sleigh today (out to potty parade), Jazzman you have to stay in line, Kate get up off your big behind, Bessy Smith quit the sniffing, Sweetie Pie what are you eating off the porch floor, Reba be careful dear...Stray dogs git away ... Ready to sing your song? -I'll say we are! -Yeah! -Let's sing it now! Okay, Dixie? -Okay! Okay, Bessie? -Okay! Okay, Jeb? ... Jeb?? ... JEB! -OKAY!!!) Christmas, Christmas time is near Time for toys and time for cheer We've been good, but we can't last Hurry Christmas, hurry fast Want a plane that loops the loop Me, I want a hula hoop We can hardly stand the wait Please Christmas, don't be late. (Okay Bullies get ready. That was very good, Dixie. -Naturally. Very good Bessie. -Ahhh. Ah, Jeb, you were a little flat, watch it. Ah, Jeb. Jeb. JEB! -OKAY.) Want a plane that loops the loop I still want a hula hoop We can hardly stand the wait Please Christmas, don't be late. We can hardly stand the wait Please Christmas, don't be late. (Very good, Bullies -Lets sing it again! Yeah, lets sing it again! No, That's enough, lets not overdo it -What do you mean overdo it? -We want to sing it again! Now wait a minute, Bullies -Why can't we sing it again? -[Bully chatter] Jeb, cut that out..Dixie, just a minute. Bessie will you cut that out? Bullies...) Sunday - 12/04/05 7:30 AM Good Morning!! I just wanted to share with you an email I got yesterday from a lady who called me because her Bully (not one of mine) was upchucking badly. During the conversation I heard her 9 month old Bully growling and could not help giving a super stern lecture in regard to taking control and establishing a master/dog relationship. Afterward I was concerned that I was too strong and 'dogmatic'. (couldn't help using the pun) From: Diane Sent: Saturday, December 03, 2005 1:45 PM dear judy, thank you so much for all of your expert advice. we ended up taking chloe to the vet twice since i spoke to you. he put her on medicine for a week to help her esophagus. she was not swallowing for us. i noticed she would keep medicine down that we made sure she would swallow so we hand fed her for a couple days and made sure she was swallowing her food. she is doing well now on her own. we are not sure what caused this problem but she is doing well with the medicine. the vet is having us to start cutting back on how much (medicine) we give her and see how she does. my biggest thank you is for the JUDY GROWL. after i got off the phone with you i looked at the puppy we love so much and took you advice, i became the boss!! our girl has become an angel she listens to me as well or better than she does my husband. she is all around more docile. my husband thanks for you getting me to do what he was telling me all along. hope all is well with you and your gang. many thanks and happy holidays to you and yours diane, ronnie, and chloe Saturday - 12/03/05 7:30 AM I'm off to assist Bob in the chores this morning. - Judy Friday - 12/02/05 8:30 AM Friday - 12/02/05 6:30 AM I believe in miracles... through prayer, positive thoughts and encouragement. A simple hug can mean so much if you are in need of one. TODAY, Hug those you love!!! If they are far away send a cyber hug, card or letter! Me?? I'm off to get my much needed puppy kisses. Have a wonderful day!!! - Judy Thursday - 12/01/05 7:30 PM What a day this has been, we're exhausted. We worked ourselves silly then took off to Tupelo, MS for supplies. We both went because we needed a few hours away from "our gang".. all I'm doing is feeding and cleaning up puppy poop... all day long!! lol lol I just got an email saying that someone was using a picture of Sweet William on a website of ads to sell pups. Bob looked but couldn't find the ad. I asked the person who notified me to please supply more info. We've had this happen before and when notified with exact info they will pull the ad. The low temperature for tonight is to be 22F so we'll be up and down checking on critters and plants just to make sure they are OK. Have a good night - Judy PS REMEMBER: If the price sounds too good to be true, it most often is not true!!

fact that the leaves have fallen, and he can roll around and run and jump in the leave
piles. He's such a silly!Wednesday - 11/30/05 7:30 AM
Yesterday was a GOOD day, but the evening was filled with sadness. Lynne my friend who has
been battling cancer is in the hospital with pneumonia. It is unknown at this time if it
is 'just' pneumonia or if this is another flair from her cancer. With tears flowing, I sent
out 75 emails last night to people who know her, advising them of her situation and asking
for prayers. I would greatly appreciate your prayers and positive
thoughts for this courageous Lady.
All the pups have someone interested in reserving them, I just held off until I took them in for their "well puppy physical" yesterday afternoon. Now I can advise the interested people and try to finalize the situations.
Gooey had already passed her physical with flying colors, Jerimiah did also. Sweet William has
a tiny, tiny hernia which the vet thinks will close on its own therefore did not want to risk
surgery. Ruby Begonia had a little larger hernia so we opted to have it repaired. She awoke wrapped
in a blanket in my arms on the way home from the vet's office.
Our overnight low was 27F so the Bullies sure didn't want to go outside to potty.
They were all pretending to be asleep but Jazzman who was up and ready to eat breakfast at 5 AM. lol lol
Aren't these Holiday Cactus beautiful. They bloom around by birthday each year and it certainly makes me smile. I think it's good for the soul to be surrounded by that which makes us smile (things, plants, animals or people). Have a Good Day - Judy
Tuesday - 11/29/05 1:00 PM OH MERCY!!! What a birthday present... a friend sent me 2 cuttings of a "special brugmansia". A single plant about the size of mine recently sold on eBay for $228, so that would be a total of $456 for my two!!!! Boy am I going to feel bad if they don't survive the winter. Right now they are doing great!! - Judy Tuesday - 11/29/05 1:00 AM Happy Birthday To Me Happy Birthday Dear Judy Happy Birthday to me!! The turkey ate my birthday.... My birthday always got lost in the confusion of Thanksgiving. The parties I should have been given became Thanksgiving Dinners and the birthday cake was one of the deserts absent candles, never presents and only a few times was there even a mention of what should have been my special day. At a young age, I stopped telling people my birth date because I didn't want to be disappointed when they didn't remember. All of this changed 19 years ago, when I was 40 years old and met Bob. He makes MY Birthday special!! I tell you all of this so you won't let the same thing happen to your child, grandchild or friend .... make them feel special. Now let the fun begin ... I'm sure I'll get puppy kisses, big bully lovin' and breakfast in bed. Too busy to go anywhere but that won't stop this from being my special day!!! - Judy Monday - 11/28/05 5:00 AM Lord Have Mercy!!!
Dixie you are to lead the parade not sniff the cat's behind ... Jeb leave Fluffy alone ... (The Chipmunks & David Seville) Adapted for Our Gang- Judy (all right you Bullies!
Wednesday - 11/30/05 10:30 AM From: j collins Sent: Monday, 11/28/05 Subject: Tyson (son of Carlotta & Jazzman DOB 05/23/05
I wanted to send you some pictures of Tyson. Christina took these to show off what he
learned class. She gets him to sit and lay down, and is now working on him giving her
paw. He's so smart, it's amazing! I also wanted to send you these, because he loves the
fact that the leaves have fallen, and he can roll around and run and jump in the leave
