We're listening to it on the radio but you can listen via the website link above. The conditions in Jackson.MS are not good, electricity is out, therefore no a/c or ice, gas is very scarce, etc. Still so little is known about the conditions further south.

I got out and about yesterday. Corinth, MS doesn't look like it even got high winds, Dog Gone!! In our area there were trees uprooted, out buildings lost roofs etc., but no major damage. Our immediate area looks so odd, imagine Fall leaves laying all over the ground, only they are green and intermixed are foot long sections of limb tips.
Bob moved many of the Angel's Trumpets (Brugmansia) into the covered dog runs Monday afternoon to prevent damage from the high winds. Last night he was delighted to be greeted by this sight.
This morning the color had changed to this....
An extra bonus were blooms on one, named Snow Cone, left outside to fend for itself. You can see how tattered the leaves are, but the buds held tight.
Next to it was another Pink which had been left outside also. It is similar to the other one but not exactly the same.

Only Minor Damage
There were 74,000 homes without power this morning in Memphs, TN which is 80 miles west of us and didn't get the full strength of the storm. They had sustained winds of 38 mph with the high gust of 54 mph recorded at 12:41 a.m. Our winds were much higher since we were in the eye of the storm.
I tripped in the dark, fell flat on my face and hurt my shoulder, not broken just swollen and painful so I've not been out and about.
Saying prayers for everyone in the Gulf Coast area!!

WOW!!! About 5:00 PM yesterday, we lost power and decided to crawl into bed. It has been terrible here. Bless their hearts I can't imagine what the other parts of Mississippi have gone through. We're safe and sound for the present..... Hugs, Judy

After being up until 3:30 AM trying to talk friends into leaving the Gulf Coast Area, I was still about half asleep when the doorbell woke us up at 6:30 AM. I had told The Szeliga to come as early as they wanted but to call about an hour before they arrived to make sure I had on clothes. Wouldn't you know the telephone wouldn't ring because I left my computer online!!
The Szeliga have a 5 year old daughter but also have a 12 year old Bully. After several conversations I bypassed my rule on placing a puppy with a younger child because it was obvious she was an exception. When we met her, we found she indeed was exceptional. I have never seen such a well behaved, polite young lady. I just know she and Coconut Pie will do well together.
Our next visitors were Susan Chandler and her friend who she talked into driving her over to pickup Angel Pie. Susan has one of Mr Big Stuff's offspring, Sir Winston. We had a delightful visit. They loved all the Bullies and the Bullies loved the attention!!! Jeb wanted to go home with them. He always wants to leave with the ladies.
I absolutely can't understand people staying in the path of a Hurricane, but I pray the Good Lord will watch over them.

All that Gatorade did the trick, I'm perking again, but still not 100% mentally. We got up early and got busy with "our gang" and cleaning house before the Wilton's came to pick-up Cherry Pie. We barely finished in time, then they were late, we heard the Hurricane Evacuation report on the radio so things started moving fast for them to beat the traffic getting back home. In the haste, I forgot to take pictures. I'll ask that they take pictures of her with the family and send a couple for me to post.
Tomorrow Liberty, Angel Pie and Cocunut Pie are leaving to go to their new homes. I hope I remember to take pictures!!!

I'm better this morning and am no longer dehrydrated. I drank Gatorade all through the night. I'm still exhausted, but hopefully will pull out of it long enough to clean the house and get ready for company this weekend.

I haven't felt good all week, and was so exhausted this afternoon I had laid down and when I got up to go feed the puppies I had a hard time walking the first couple of steps because it seemed there was no padding on my feet. That's when I mashed my fore finger and saw there is reduced fluid in the tissue, it stayed flat. Bob's has gone to get me some Gatorade. Hopefully that will restore the balance, if not I'll have no choice but to go to ER.
I also just ate a can of apricots and drank 20 oz of water. This is really crazy!! - Judy

Whew!! Things are busy around here this morning. It has been reported that a man is selling puppies in Northeast Mississippi, that do NOT exist. He is taking deposits and the people are calling the home of his ex-wife wanting to know about picking up their puppy. He is also selling adult Bullies to multiple people, but not delivering to any of them. This person had called me trying to sell me all the above but I declined and wondered what in the world was going on with them. Now I know.

Gracious!!! My website provider changed their email system so bunches of your emails have not gotten to me. Here I was thinking that all the articles I had written were answering the questions. lol lol I have to admit that I have enjoyed the peace and quiet!!
If your email was important and you don't get a response from me within 24 hours, resend it. We were only able to recover a few emails. - Judy

I was more excited than any kid when I saw this. I rushed to get my camera and started snapping pictures afraid it would fly away although it was still light outside. It's a Luna Moth, one of the largest of the moth family!!

It's 99 degrees, 42% humidity with a Heat Index of 108. It's not suppose to cool off enough to put the Bullies in their outside runs until 10:00 PM and they have to be back under a/c by 7:30 AM, when the temps are to be 78. By 8:00 AM it's suppose to be 80. Dog Days Of Summer for sure!!!

This darlin' picture of Liberty is bound to make you smile!! It is so hot here, supposed to get up to 97 with high humidity so a severe heat warning has been issued. What is Bob doing? Out mowing the yard!!! I'm about to go ask him to stop cause I don't want him to take a chance of getting overheated. The only good thing about temps this high is those doggie sheets sure dry fast out on the clothesline.
I ran into a sale yesterday while grocery shopping; medium Eggs 3 dz for $.99 plus half gallons of milk any variety $.99, limit of 6 - mix or match. Lots of Crustless Quiches, Bread Pudding, Banana Pudding and Custard going to be fixed here the next couple of days. I bought lots of eggs for the Bullies. Seldom do I give them milk, but I did get a couple of 1/2 gallons of Buttermilk for the "old gals". It's high in sodium but they have lived 3-4 years past the average life span on Mama Judy's cooking/feeding and I feel they can have Buttermilk every now and again. Whole milk doesn't normally agree with their digestive system.

I've been busier that a cow's tail, in fly season!! BUT wanted to stop and wish everyone a Good Weekend!!
I am so proud to have another worry off my mind. A lady got on my last nerve fretting about the female Bully she got from me might not be able to have a litter of puppies, because I wasn't in a position earlier in the year to be able to keep her female at our house for 2 weeks while she was being bred to Jazzman. The lady was afraid it would be her Bully's last chance to breed. I finally just had to tell her I didn't want to hear anymore, because I didn't make the decision to delay breeding, nor did I wait until the last minute to contact me. WELL today she told me her Bully is pregnant and that she was sorry she was so rude!!!
Oh Lordy!! I'm surely am glad someone took the time to send this message:
Comments: Please check your pictures on the braggin bullies page, there is a women in a mesh suit very see through, down loaded yesterday! I dont think she has a bullie.

I'm up to my neck in puppy pictures, Sweetie Pie's Babies. I'm trying to edit and resize them to upload to the website. I took too many pictures....but aren't these darlin'. We had just fed them, given them a bath, clipped toenails and then realized we had to take them out to the porch for pictures because the lighting was better. Bless their little hearts they made it through everything else, but being put on the table for pictures scared them.

Poor Bob accidently locked himself out of the house this morning. He rang the doorbell every 15 minutes or so for 2 hours (he busied himself doing outside chores)and finally I heard it at 8 AM. I was so tired, but we couldn't believe she who can hear a puppy's cry didn't hear the doorbell which is really loud. He's so patient, he said he figured I needed that "deep" sleep.
I just took a moment out to inspect my Angel's Trumpets (Brugmansia, as shown in the above picture) and they are loaded with tiny buds. Surely made me smile.
I'm rushing to make up for lost time. Hope you are having a GREAT day!! - Judy

Gracious, I slept in this morning. I'm just now crawling out of bed, so I'm going to have to kick it into third gear to get everything accomplished before it gets too hot. It's 75 degrees with humidity of 85% now. The high is predicted to be 95 degrees with 96% humidity, that makes it real hard to breath and the minute you go outside a sticky wet film settles on you. That's the South In The Summer Time!!!
Other than needing to catch up on our sleep, we're doing GREAT!!! Have a good day and hug the one you love!! - Judy
