Sunday - 04/30/06 10:00 AM

I've been awake since 2:30 AM, laid in bed reading a book until 9 AM. I wonder if the word 'de-stressing' is an actual term or word. If not we'll call it a 'Judysm', words made up by Judy.

In the midst of the stress creating situations, some very positive things have happened. Here is a picture of Buster Two, new name Winston, going home with his new parents, Brandon & Andrea.

Two weeks ago Noel, our one-eyed deformed Bully was outside with Bob while he was busy working. He looked around and she was gone, we spent 3 days hunting for her. She obviously had followed the yard-dogs off in to the woods, what unpleasant thoughts we had; like she had fallen into the lake. We combed the woods and got ate up by ticks but couldn't find a trace of her. It had rained but there weren't any footprints!!?? Finally I was crying like baby and geting more stressed by the hour. We knew we had to gave up and go on with life.

Thursday she was walking up the lane. We speculate someone had picked her up, but had second thoughts and set her out near the drive to find her way back home. She did have puncture marks on the back of her neck, like some animal had picked her up and shook the dickens out of her and was mega skinny but otherwise she's fine and glad to be home.

Thank you to all who have sent me emails of condolence over the passing of my father. In lieu of flowers or cards, please hug someone you love. - Judy

Saturday - 04/29/06 1:30 PM

My Father had a stroke earlier in the week and died this morning. The passing of one's parent causes all sorts of emotions to surface, May He Rest In Peace!!

Friday - 04/28/06 8:00 AM

Yesterday was crazy, with emails and telephone calls from the Real Estate people and the attorney from the Title company, all of which were telling me I was in violation of the contract since I didn't sign over the house (the funds were not available at closing so I refused to sign). Well if that be the case I suppose they will have to sue me, because they are not getting my house period.

After all the commotion, Bob said he would take care of the evening chores, so I crawled into bed in the afternoon and didn't get up until 7 or so this morning. I truly needed the rest. Now to catch up on my backlogged life, 131 emails are waiting.

Have a good weekend. - Judy

Thursday - 04/27/06 9:45 AM

....119 emails in my Inbox, Oh My!!!

Thursday - 04/27/06 7:30 AM

We went to closing on the Memphis house yesterday, 3 hour round trip. We met the Real Estate person at their office and were following her to the Title Company for the closing, when she pulled over in a parking lot. She said she had just received a telephone call saying the "funds" were not available and she was so sorry. She suggested I go ahead and sign the papers and she would send me the certified check via Fed Ex... HELLO!!??!!

I told her doing anything of that nature would unsettle my soul. She assured me the closing would be by the end of the week and I told her to contact me. Bob sent them an email last night asking for the keys and escrow money to be sent to us since the contract expired.

What a day we had yesterday!!!! - Judy

PS That my 20 year old Volvo knew it had to stay in the driveway to protect the house.... it would not start. Jim had it running last weekend and Bob on Monday.

Wednesday - 04/26/06 8:00 AM

Entry for PackRats only - Otherwise you certainly would not understand what I have done to myself.

I'm not going to go into how this came about just suffice it to say, we sold our home in Memphis, which was packed to the rafters with STUFF. I couldn't be on site (had to stay with the critters) to make decisions about what to throw away and what to keep, so Bob brought it all to me. Fortunately we hadn't gotten around to fully stuffing this house, the one in the country, but it surely is over-stuffed now!!! I thought it would encourage me to post before and after pictures, that is assuming I survive.

Take one, the back of the house .......
Yesterday, we had 2 hours left to unload, buy gas and make the 45 minute drive to return the rented cargo van. We had to unload the last items into the yard or it would cost another $69.99. By the way we rented it from Enterprise and they were wonderful.

We stopped to pick up a few groceries... I should have eaten breakfast because I bought too much food including frozen veggies Kroger had on sale. I faintly remember Bob saying, "We don't have room in the freezer" (side by side). Once home the impact for what he said hit me, there was absolutely no room for the 10 packages, then all of a sudden I remembered the freezer we had moved up here and temporarily put in the covered dog run!! Whew!! Now to fill it up with specials, dog bones, butcher shop whole pork special pricing, etc. Oh Mercy!! lol lol

It's raining here so chores are going slow. Hope you have a good day and a special wish comes true.- Judy

Tuesday - 04/25/06 5:00 AM

Gracious, I'm yawnin' and can't seem to get myself awake this morning. The last load is still in the cargo van but it must come out this morning!!

Beth & John, Thank You For Your Help!!

Beth had Out Patient Surgery Wednesday of last week, but insisted upon helping us with the move on Saturday morning. John helped both Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to them, plus Kim & Jim on Wednesday, we were able to get everything moved to one place. Now it's up to me! lol lol lol

I'm off to see if I can figure out where to put this last load. If I weren't such a nut over kitchen things, books and chairs there wouldn't be a problem. - Judy

Monday - 04/24/06 6:30 AM

OH MY, you would not believe all the STUFF, there is basically only a walkway through the house and in places it is necessary to "skinny up". It's all either interesting, old, absolute antique or something that caught our fancy. It's a packrat's heaven and we're shaking our heads over what to do with it all. The last load will arrive today and I have no idea where we're going to put it.

Oops, our gang just announced it was time to go outside. - Judy

Sunday - 04/23/06 5:00 AM

Up and going but we're tired, tired, tired.

In the midst of all this moving I received notification from a visitor to our web site of a fraudulent web site displaying pictures of my "bullies". I emailed the web site telling them if they didn't removed the pictures I would 'hunt them down'. They responded by saying they used my pictures to create their web site and would scan pictures of their Bullies. I will give them until this afternoon to remove my pictures.

I'm off to do morning chores. Hope you have a peaceful Sunday. - Judy

Saturday - 04/22/06 8:00 AM

If any of you have any questions concerning anything, please wait until this move is complete on Wednesday to expect an answer. I'm working flat out in 3rd gear and my mind is busy making decisions in regard to the move. I feel like Alice In Wonderland, actually more like the Rabbit running around but he knew what he was doing, meanwhile Alice was trying to make sense of it all. (lol lol)

I admit it, I'm a PackRat. I thought I would give you a glance at the scope of our moving project... this is the attic with only a path to walk through. In those boxes are everything from antiques to real junk. Yesterday I came across many antique fur/mink/beaver/faux/mouton capes and three quarter length jackets, I had collected along the way. I love the feel of them but I don't know a use for them. However, I sent 3 to Kennedy for dress up play, the others are laying on the dinning room table... humm.

I've finished my coffee so I'm off and running to get the morning chores finished.- Judy

Friday - 04/21/06 8:30 AM

I got an email from Steve this morning in which he told me he was having blood tests run on his Bully, BabyRuth, because

"she has a dark place on each side and the hair is realy thin"

. I sent him the link to this email from Michelle, then decided I needed to give it exposure once again because we have so many new web site visitors.

Seasonal Flank Alopecia

From: Floyd T. & Michelle
Sent: Saturday, March 06, 2004 9:57 AM
......On another veterinary-type note... I thought you might be interested in knowing about Wyatt's new development. We took him to the vet, because he had two small patches of thinning hair on his sides. I, of course, thought the worst and was ready for anything. The vet took one look at his balding spots and recognized it immediately as Seasonal Flank Alopecia. We did the usual skin scrape and fungal culture, just to rule out other things, but all were negative as expected. Dr. Levitas said that SFA is a common problem among Boxer and Bulldog breeds. It simply means that due to hormonal changes associated with changing light cycles, etc. in the spring of the year, the dog looses some hair in his flank areas. The skin underneath is not affected, and the dog experiences absolutely no discomfort. The hair will fill back in about a month or so. Much to my excitement.. the treatment for SFA is DO NOTHING. We just keep the exposed skin healthy and moisturized. YEAH! I thought this might be useful info to some of the other bully owners, since we have a very knowledgeable vet who is experienced at treating bulldogs. I know that if I lived in an area where I was not fortunate enough to have access to this kind of care, I would have let someone less experienced talk me into all kinds of unnecessary treatments.

Friday - 04/21/06 5:00 AM

We've been up and going strong for awhile this morning ..... wonder when we're going to crash!! A line of thunderstorms backed up all the way into Louisiana will probably cause us not to be able to make progress on any front this morning.

I can't tell you the way our spirits have soared since friends have jumped in to help us move. Finding people to hire was a nightmare, but Bob was successful in hiring one man who has proven to be a great asset.

How wonderful it has been to feel the warmth of our possessions that have been in storage for so long. This is a chair from an antique, hand-carved 3 piece sitting room set. Be sure to click to enlarge the image so you can see the Iris pattern. It's been like Christmas for both of us.. matter of fact those are the words Bob used.

Once everything has been moved here, it will take me 6 months to unpack, arrange and give to friends items I think they would appreciate, so I best get started with morning chores.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. - Judy

Kennedy Get Well Quick!

Thursday - 04/20/06 4:45 AM

Good Morning

Thank You Kim & Jim
for your assistance yesterday. Words can't express our gratitude.

Our weather forecast for today will probably have a negative impact on our moving, but at least it won't be so Doggone Hot, the high is only supposed to be 75F .....
" Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy. Highs in the upper 70s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent."

I'm up a little early to bake a ham while it is still cool, I've been holding off not wanting to heat up the house anymore than necessary. Ham sandwiches on the run, ham and eggs for breakfast and last but not least beans or peas seasoned with ham, all sound good. I'll slice some for immediate use then package up the remainder for storage in the freezer.

For all of you who have sent updates, personal emails or pictures, I thank you and be assured I have read them, but I won't have the time until this move is over and we're settled in to respond. I hope everyone gets the best that this day has to offer. - Judy

PS The mechanic has finished with the van.

Wednesday - 04/19/06 12:30 PM

Bob (Big Daddy) to the rescue!! He and a helper were hurriedly moving in furniture so they could go back for a 2nd load today but took time out to put in one of the a/c units. The Bullies and I certainly appreciated it.

Tuesday - 04/18/06 10:00 AM

Whew!! We're hotter than a Pepper Sprout!! We been having record high temperatures for April!!

Plus we don't have the a/c window units installed yet so... It's times like this that I appreciate our big Oak trees.

I'm off to make sure none of us overheat. - Judy

Tuesday - 04/18/06 8:00 AM

Another prayer request please.... my friend Twyla, a cancer survivor, is having MRI cancer scans today.

She sent me this Iris last year. _ Judy

Tuesday - 04/18/06 8:00 AM

Please say a prayer for my friend Beth who will undergo Out Patient Surgery tomorrow.
Here we are with Nicky & Rudy. Thanks, Judy

Tuesday - 04/18/06 6:30 AM

We took about 75 pictures of Eve's puppies last night, but none of them are good enough to post, the lighting was awful, although a good study. Here is one so you will know what I'm talking about. The strong light coming in the window obscures the fine detail.

The puppies are calling so I have to run.- Judy

Monday - 04/17/06 Noon

As it turned out, we worked hard all day yesterday and only sat down for breakfast under the trees. We have so much on our plates at present it is unreal; caring for the puppies, buying and selling some small properties, moving furniture and relocating too much stuff. I'm so over-whelmed that I start 3 or 4 projects then find I didn't complete any of them. I'm use to multi-tasking but my 'complete' seems to have jumped a gear. Thank The Good Lord we have some special friends who are willing to help us.

We skipped breakfast this morning so we having a hearty lunch, which is now ready to eat. I hope good things happen to you today and you are able to show your love to someone dear. - Judy

Sunday - 04/15/06 8:40 AM

Good Morning

This Iris is breathtaking in person. It is very large and a clear, standout white. Today we're determined to sit back, put our feet up and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us.

May you feel and truly appreciate the many blessings you have as a result of being an American. - Judy

10:15 AM PS - That stupid snake like to have made me have a heart attack. He was laying in the door of the covered dog runs when I went bouncing in to see if the load of dog sheets in the washer had finished. I screamed, which set the Bullies to barking which added to my stress. Anyway, the snake is no longer around.

Friday - 04/14/06 12:50 AM

I hope all of you who celebrate Easter have a good time with family and friends this weekend. Some of my most pleasant childhood memories are of celebrting Easter at my grandparent's house. We dressed up in our new clothes and attended morning worship service. Returning from church we ate a big meal built around a honey baked ham with a side table loaded with deserts. Later we searched for the brightly colored boiled eggs, hidden by an Aunt while we were away. On one such occasion, I went missing and was found asleep under the front porch with my head resting on their big white dog, Rover.

I bought a stuffed rabbit for Eve's puppies and they love it. Two of them flipped it over on it's stomach and would hunker down on opposite sides of it, popping up to bark at the other, then hunkering down again.

Enjoy your weekend and if you are traveling be careful. - Judy

Thursday - 04/13/06 11:30 AM

I didn't sleep in, I was up and going at 5 AM, with too much to do and so little time to do it in. Bob swears when I get over a sick episode, I kick myself into 3rd gear and burn out, thus the onset of another episode. He may be right I surely don't know. lol lol

I read my entry for yesterday... don't you love the part about the Pizza Man diagnosing my mechanical problem. Bob and I were trying to make a decision in regard to buying another van which we really need anyway, when I popped in with "We need to ask the Pizza Man". That made both of us chuckle.

I'm off to do more chores. - Judy

Wednesday - 04/12/06 4:30 PM

Continued below........
Wednesday - 04/12/06 Noon

When GIANT problems arise, we maintain a hopeful outlook although at times it certainly is hard. (lol lol).

Nicky We meet my friend Beth at the Vet's office at 9 AM so that she could get One-Eyed Jack. She also has Nicky from Miss B & Jazzman's litter whom she brought with her.

Jack is precious but the other pups are picking on him because he is the smallest. I didn't want to take a chance with his eye, therefore needed to separate him from the other pups, but didn't want him having to go through that stress, then be stressed again when he went to live with Beth. Although he is only 5 weeks, I talked with Beth and the decision was made for her to go ahead and take him. He's about the size of a baby Bunny but he didn't want to dress up and be put in an Easter basket, so I handed him over wrapped in a flannel blankie instead.

We had taken Crissy one of my Minis to be bred to Jazzman, this is my last chance in getter her "with pups", but the vet on duty doesn't do AI's and the other two vets were not available. That was the first thing that went wrong.

We got about 90% of the way home and were driving down the highway when the motor in the van died. I soon figured out it wasn't one of those simple, wire came loose kind of happenings. Fortunately we were in Middleton, TN so there were plenty of people around. While Bob walked over across the railroad tracks to a tire store, the driver of a giant food delivery truck painted as a Pizza advertisement pulled in beside our van to make a delivery to the convenience store. He offered to help and meanwhile Bob has contacted a mechanic who has a shop a block away. After trying many things to get it running, the Pizza Man and the mechanic agreed it was the timing. On to the next problem, finding a mechanic who works on foreign vehicles, this one did not.

Meanwhile Crissy & Jazzman are getting hot and I'm doing everything I can to keep them from getting too hot.... more later, I have to run take care of puppies.....

Continued here........
As it turned out where the van broke down was the most convenient of places, therefore I'm glad it happened there instead of out on a large highway where there were no people. All turned out well except for the fact that it will be 2 weeks or longer before it's fixed and it is crucial that we have a van to transport the Bullies to the vet and to meet people getting their pups. We went out looking for a van to purchase this afternoon and are looking at a car in the morning. This will probably mean I'll have to put off the Thailand medical evaluation.

Wednesday - 04/12/06 6:45 AM

Awake with puppies at 2 AM, I could not go back to sleep, finally at 4 AM I drank a glass of wine and almost immediately dozed off. This is one of those overcast days, just right for staying in bed, snuggling with Bob, but the babies are awake wanting breakfast.

I'm off to do morning chores. - Judy

Tuesday - 04/11/06 Noon

I'm busier than a cow's tail in fly season!! We haven't seen the Unfriendly snake for 3 days, whew!! Yesterday I had 81 emails but I'm down to 15 this morning. Most of those are updates and pictures of our Bullies who have gone to their new homes. I'll be posting them as soon as I get these plants all out in the yard. About the time I get busy doing something, one of 'our gang" has to go, or I have to stop and clean/feed puppies. I feel like I'm chasing my tail. lol lol

I'll most likely be back later, right now I'm racking my brain trying to help save Henry in Chicago. He's one of ours, 7 years old and is deathly ill. The owner sent me an urgent email because the vets can't diagnose the problem. He has severe diarrhea and upchucking. We've had two similar situations, Buster 9 years ago and Happy recently, she is Henry's sister. When nothing the vets did worked and they could not identify the problem I took matters into my own hands because I thought my Bullies were going to die. With Happy I got the upchucking stopped and the vet gave me meds which cleared up the diarrhea. I firmly believe Buster's episode was caused by drinking chlorinated water while we were on a trip. Here at home we have pure, clean well water. I have no idea what triggered Happy's bout.

Henry is in ICU at the vet hospital and the owner has gone over there now to see him. She'll let me know when she returns. If you are so inclined, prayers for Henry would be appreciated. - Judy

Rhubarb English bulldog puppy with his mother Sweetie Pie This picture was taken before I got busy yesterday moving plants from the front porch to the yard at the back of the house, which is what you see in this picture. When I go to Thailand for a medical evaluation, I believe they should start with my brain!! (lol lol) I have too many plants but can't stand the thought of adding them to the compost pile. Rhubarb, English bulldog puppy

Rhubarb and Sweetie Pie ran around the yard playing and investigating everything for the longest time. Rhubarb was definitely the center of Sweetie's attention... until Bob came out the backdoor with another puppy. Sweetie Pie loves Bob more than anything, even her babies!!

As usual we had the camera close at hand to take a few pictures to share with you. I'm just glad Bob came to my rescue instead of taking a picture of me straddled one of the ditches with my behind in the air. (I was trying to carry too much at one time and slipped on wet leaves.)

Today I hope to keep my feet planted firmly on the ground, while I work clearing plants from the porches. - Judy

Sunday - 04/09/06 9:15 AM

Unlike the white rabbit in Alice In Wonderland, I don't have time to stop to check my watch. With 18 puppies pooping, then begging to be fed, the buzzers on the dryer and microwave keep me on my toes but it's the Mad Hatter's emails which are causing me to shake my head and scratch my nose.

Like Alice I cried myself a pool of tears and Bob, instead of the mouse, begins telling a very boring (other wise known as DRY) story... Then Noel, not the dodo bird, jealous of Bob's attention starts the caucus race in which we all ran in circles and got nowhere.

Soon I discovered the mouse had moved his family and all their friends into my Brugmansia pots to build homes. Then I overheard Bob to say, `Now, Mr Cat, tell me the truth: did you ever eat a bat?' Where is that rabbit hole, I think I'll go hide.

Hope you liked my whimsical entry this morning and that you are enjoying a peaceful Sunday morning. - Judy

Mercy what bad thunderstorms we've had. There is wind damage but not enough to whine about.

Special Thanks to Mary who provided information on the Unfriendly Snake possibly being a Cotton Mouth then several other people also told me the same. I'm going to contact the Wildlife Agency early next week to see if they have a relocation service.

If you have sent me an email, please be patient because I'm backlogged in answering emails. Right now I have 64 waiting in my Inbox.

Pictures of Eve & Jazzman's female puppies will be posted later this morning. I worked editing and sizing them until late last night, then gave up and crawled into bed.

I hope you have a good weekend and remember .... what you plant in the Spring must be cared for all Summer long. Oh My, I'm a April Planting Fool!! I ordered 70 bulbs which should arrive Monday.. out of my mind, out of my mind. - Judy

Friday - 04/07/06 5:00 AM
Good Morning!!!
Yesterday, I went to Tupelo, MS, drove all by myself and everything. I was real proud after having been sick for so long, plus it was good for me to get and interact with people.

I couldn't believe the jump in prices at all the big box stores. The clerks I know said everything was going up. They raised the price of potting soil while I was watching, on a 2 cubic feet package the price went up almost $2, etc. The pots I wanted for the brugs were $18 each, plus more $ for the saucer which goes underneath, needless to say I didn't get them. I saw a 5" pot of Stonecrop Sedum for $4 and I have bushel baskets full of it in my flower beds. lol lol All plants were way more than last year, so the only plants I bought were 3 rose bushes for Bob, he loves roses. I don't like anything with thorns, plants or people. lol lol

I bought dog food, another increased in price story, then went to the butcher shop and bought $15 of pork liver to make gravy to pour over it... this is really too spoiled. The butcher threw in a big sack of beef bones, which I put on to cook the minute I walked in the door. This is how the femur bones look after having been baked in the over for 2 hours at 350 degrees. I give big substantial beef bones like this to my Bullies.

A snake update is in order. While I was gone Bob checked the Goldfish Pool and found 'Unfriendly Snake' and was able to take a good picture of him to use for identification, because I had worked so hard getting the water clear. If anyone knows what kind of snake he is, please send me an email.

Don't work too hard today. - Judy

Thursday - 04/06/06 7:00 AM
I'm pulling myself out of bed, Bob went down earlier to take care of 'our gang'. Now that I'm back on my feet, everyone is wanting everything, something done for them, advice, or a detailed update, plus Bob and I have a hundred decisions to make and "have to do now chores" enough for 8 people. Yesterday we put tarps up over the enclosed dog runs, which is a giant chore. We put them up this time of the year and they are rotting so they're easy to pull off to allow the sun to warm the concrete in Fall and Winter.. We were up about 6 AM yesterday and finally quit working around 9 PM.

'The Unfriendly Snake' evidently thought I was the one being unfriendly. I worked two days and I can now see the bottom of the pool but he is not there. Maybe I did scoop and fling him. Whatever I'm just glad he's gone.

I have all sorts of pictures waiting for me to edit, size, upload and insert code for their display. I have updates on "babies" who have gone to their new homes and emails I want to share with you, if it rains this afternoon or tomorrow it would be a good time to sit down and do all of this. Today I must do backlogged chores.

Judy

Tuesday - 04/04/06 7:00 AM
My niece who is allergic to mold told me when I feel tightness in my chest to get away from the area immediately. My sister advise me to wear a dust mask in those areas if I have to return and I've been doing both.. areas are mainly poly enclosed porches, poly covered dog runs and emptying the lint filter on the clothes dryer!!

I been taking a mild, mild daily dose of prednisone, we've had the house open and the whole house fan going for a few days, we've moved 99% of the plants outside, Bob is taking down the poly covering on the porches and I'll be darn if I don't think I'm going to live!!! Today I'm in HIGH spirits (no I'm not high, lol lol) Yesterday Bob said to me, "Welcome Back To Your World!!"

Now if this will just last a couple of weeks, I won't feel so vulnerable. It's really spooky to wake up in the middle of the night going into a nose dive. I so appreciate all of you caring about me.

What I have to do now is place these puppies and get my life out of backlog. As a surprise, Bob bought me the CD, Best Of Eddie Raven, such feel good music and easy dancing around the kitchen.. lol lol lol - Judy

PS Update on Snake
The fella is smart, he started ducking whenever I got within 4-5 feet from the pool. I worked at cleaning the leaves, etc. out yesterday so the water would be clear enough for me to see if he was still there. He didn't show himself while I was working like a crazy women reverse raking the leaves. I kept expecting at any moment to fling him out across the yard ... rake and fling, rake and fling. It was the only way I knew to get the leaves out and be sure I wouldn't be bitten by "Unfriendly". (This time two weeks ago my arms would begin to ache when I tried to fold a sheet, no way could I have cleaned the Goldfish Pool.) This is a picture of a corner of the pool taken last summer.

Monday - 04/03/06 9:24 AM
We've been up and going for some time and finally got around to sitting down for breakfast.. bacon, toast, eggs over easy and better than normal coffee. We ate outside under the trees in very comfortable antique lawn chairs, handed down from my Great-Aunt through her cousin. It was delightful; butterflies flitting around, birds calling, trees budding out, 70F with a gentle breeze and being able to share all this with someone I love.

We've had the big puppies outside for potty training lessons and they are so cute. I have to run to get away from them because they want to walk between my legs, I suppose because they are so skinny because they don't do Bob that way. Of course Bob took pictures, probably of my skinny legs but maybe I can crop them out. (lol lol)

We're still working on the getting the plants out in the yard, so I better get to it before it gets too hot. This beauty is blooming today. Hope your week is starting out good. I'll be back later with more pictures - Judy

We were working hard to get the remaining plants outside, but got 'rained out'. While I slept in this morning Bob was outside playing with the older puppies. They are precious, make us laugh and give us such a warm fuzzy feeling. Here are some of the pictures he took

Bob and I have been moving the plants out of the house. In the process I was cleaning up around the goldfish pool and saw a Cotton Mouth snake's head just above the water. Scared the dickens out of me. We tried to get him out so Bob could kill him but failed. Now we're going to run water through it for a couple of days so the water will clear enough to see more of him than just his head.

A few minutes ago Bob told me I looked beautiful with color on my cheeks but he was afraid it was a sign I was near a heat stroke and asked that I at least stop long enough to cool down. lol lol Isn't he wonderful!!

I attempted to get a picture of the snakes head to verify I'm correct in it being a Cotton Mouth and will post it later if it is any good. - Judy

Bob has gone to the city to get supplies and I'm taking a short break from chores. Meanwhile the puppies and adult Bullies are all taking their 'after breakfast' naps.

I'll be back a little later to post a couple of emails I've received and updated pictures of some of the puppies who have gone to their new homes. - Judy

The rains have passed through our area but it's still cloudy. The temperature is about 70F so if the sun would pop out it would be a glorious day. My body would love a long stay in mild sunlight.

Jeb waiting for me to toss him a piece of chicken The critters were delighted when I descended the stairs earlier this morning.. I could imagine them saying, oh how we missed you Mama. They were licking their lips, some doing the Bully Butt Wiggle, the yard-dogs were jumping all around and the cats were so excited they came into the kitchen. I was totally impressed with their display of affection, until I realized they were begging me to give them the chicken Bob had boiling away on the stove. The smell must have been driving them crazy for a couple of hours. lol lol

When people say they want a Bulldog because they are so loyal, I respond, "They are until someone comes by with a bag of burgers". Jeb is always trying to get in visitor's vehicles. I don't think he would miss us in the least especially if he was well fed.

Have a delightful weekend. - Judy

I feel about how Peanut looks in this picture!! He's the Bully of a thousand faces. Here he had rather stay outside to play, so when the British Training Lead was looped over his head to lead him inside .. he started pouting. lol lol

Judy is a PuppyGal and always has been -- bringing in strays, thrown away puppies and other creature for the last 50 years, we will have to assume she was five years old before she brought in her first one. When she was four years old she went missing and hours later they found her under her Grandparent's old country farmhouse. She had snuggled up next to their big white dog and fell asleep. She and their eight yard dogs roamed the 100 acre farm, everyone contend that the dogs would protect her. While other little girls played with dolls, PuppyGal and the dogs followed behind her Papa as he plowed the fields, feed the goats or milked the cows. Life changed, Papa passed away, she lived full time in the city, got a good education and became an executive for a National Corporation. One day she decided they were robbing her of her life so she told them "I'm Through Now" and returned to the country and her first love, dogs....smashed faced, snorting Bulldogs.
