Warning!!! People Stealing Bullies
Just a reminder to be extra careful with your Bully. They are the #1 Stolen Dog in the USA.
This is what happened to one of our families last week.
>>>We had a horrible time a week ago. We let Lucy (Bully) out to the bathroom then our 2 year
old screamed inside the house, so David went after Sophie, and while his attention was averted,
someone tried to steal Lucy out of our 6ft fenced in yard. They missed passing her over the
fence, and she fell. Later that day, I came home from work to check on her, and she was
having problems breathing. She ended up in doggy ICU for 4 days with a pulmonary contusion.
She is so strong though and made it through and is back to normal despite the vet thinking she
was going to die. By the way, lemon juice and cola cut up their phlegm to help them breathe.
Needless to say, $800 and a lot of tears later, we have decided to put our house on the market
and move to the country next year! Lucy is great, she is 33# now and a love to have around.
I have been diagnosed with Lupus, yuck yuck, but we're hanging in there! We'll talk to you
soon,
Lorel <<<<<
Please include this family in your prayers, Lupus is a serious condition!!!

Well frankly, I'm embarrassed to tell you all that we've been sick with an upper respiratory
infection. We are seldom sick so we think the West Nile Virus must have left our immunity at an
all time low. The good news is, we are on the road to recovery.
We drove to Paducah, KY yesterday to meet the families who were getting 4 of the puppies. We took
pictures and have posted them to the 1st page of the website. We were very pleased when we were
actually able to meet them in person and feel very comfortable that they will make great
Puppy Parents.
Take care and have a wonderful day!!!

Gina called yesterday to let me know that Mini-E & Miss Ellie's "babies" are doing great. One female is
smaller than the others, so they are making sure she gets her share of the milk. We already
have a Waiting List for the 3 females so we're planning on going to Memphis the middle of the
week to take pictures, they will be a week old on Wednesday.
We just had to share this picture of Delta Dawn, Amber & Mini-E's Puppy that we are keeping. Puppies
love to sit on top, of anything including the other puppies.

Our recent Hip Dysplasia Scare!!!! This is a lesson worth sharing.

We hope your day includes as many smiles as ours. Judy, Bob and "Our Gang"

My friend Gina just called, Miss Ellie had her "babies" about 2 hours ago. There are
4 males and 3 females for a total of 7. She said they are big, wiggly, hungry babies already.
That's a good sign but we're holding our breath, the first week is critical.

It's beginning to cool off a little. We still have daytime highs in the 90's but the
temperature is dropping into the lower 70's and higher 60's at night. For this we are
so very grateful!
Because it was so hot and humid, we were having to walk the Bullies right as the sun came
up at about 6 AM and then after it went down around 6:30 PM. Of course that is a long time
in between for them to "hold it". The high temperatures had a negative impact on the
housebreaking process for Juliet & Carlotta, the female puppies we are keeping, but we'll
make it.
We just took updated pictures of Mr Big Stuff, he sure makes me laugh. He will be a year old
on Tuesday, already weighs 61 pounds and is so very sweet.
This time around his mother was bred to Mini-E. She's very heavy with puppies so our friend, Gina,
is expecting a big litter to be born about 9/11.
The new "stray that's come to stay" we have named "Dingo" because he is an Australian Sheep Dog,
known locally as a Blue Heeler, the original of which was part Dingo. The last few days he has
"hung around" for a couple of hours allowing himself to be seen, by us as we work outside.
Now the challenge will be for me to get my hands on him so we can have him neutered.
Have a Wonderful Day!!!

My friend Brenda has lost a sister and niece to a drunk driver. I would very much appreciate
it if you could make time to send her an e-mail and say a special prayer for her. She needs
all the emotional support you are willing to extend. To quote her "Every letter, hug, thought,
and prayer is a comfort". Her E-mail Address is jcandiman@insightbb.com
Below is part of her e-mail to me.
Thanks so much.

"
After I wrote you and told you about our anniversary trip things went very bad here.
We left on our trip and didn't get any farther than Peoria when we received a phone call
to call home immediately. To make a long story short, my sister and two nieces were in a
very bad car accident. My sister (45) and the older niece (20) were killed instantly.
My younger niece (18) was saved by the air bags, but in critical condition for 4 days.
She is out of the hospital and she and her father are regrouping at his parents. She
had a torn spleen, fractured jaw, broken hand and arm, broken ribs in her back, some cracks
in her back and a laceration on her knee.
She will recover fully, physically. Of course we are all still in various stages of
grieving and believing what happened and why.
The accident happened at 6:00 p.m. and of course the other driver was drunk. His blood
alcohol was .212. Legal is .08. He also killed his passenger"
"Today, I dance like no one is watching, for there may be no tomorrow!!"
"Life is full of tears, make sure your smiles outweigh them!"
