English Bulldogs take advantage of us because they know they can get by with it.
One wiggle of that cute little Bully Butt or a pleading look from that droopy-eyed smashed
face and we are suckered in. It reminds us that they make us smile and laugh even if our
heart is breaking, when our spirits are low they know, and they listen to our not so
grand ideas like they are brilliant. Their affection proves to us that we are their world so we do dumb things, like carry a 50 pound bully, Buster, over my shoulder into the vet's office. Ole Buster would just go limp if he were in an environment which he didn't like. So instead of scolding him and forcing him to walk, I hugged him up tight and carried him into the vet's office, 'cause I knew he was scared. The vet was sure Buster was dying-- why else would a small female be straining in such a manner? What about the time I asked the shopping center crew who had demonstrated cooking a fried turkey what they were going to do with the carcass left over from the samples they had given out. Of course they gave it to me. It made great turkey gravy for "our gang". My list goes on and on, but I want to hear some of the dumb things you've done. ?>Could not connect to Database | |
